  1. I agree,if not one of the Berwick juniors then Im sure a rider from another club couldve been slotted in at No2 for Dudley just for the night.James McBain possibly.
  2. Once again the PL has delivered a great speedway meeting,by now Im sure Sky can see where the real entertainment lies, and it sure aint the EL. Also, whether his team is involved or not you can always guarrantee that Rossiter will make a total pillock of himself.
  3. Enjoyable meeting last night,a one where Berwick always held the upper hand though thanks to mainly Barker & Risager Ipswich were well deserving of their points, how good was Barker,as impressive a performance Ive seen at Shielfield for many a year,he won races from the gate and from the back.Barker was well backed up by Risager but a pointless 1st and last ride proved costly.Disapointed in the performance of Leigh Lanham,on a track where hes scored well in previous visits he looked a shadow of that rider. A workman like performance from the home riders,no absolute stand out rider but no rider let the team down.Good to see Kozza Smith get away with what couldve been a nast crash in Ht7,though I must admit seeing his moves on the track when trying to avoid Tungate and then Starke I think he`d be a wow on the dance floor. Everyone agrees with you. Spot on,maybe this could be the difference in Berwick finishing well up the league than not.
  4. Oh Im sure that would never happen in our wonderful sport.
  5. Im sure our track team will have learned from last years meeting with Ipswich and will have prepared the track accordingly.Im also sure the track will have had plenty watering this week, giving the warm sunny weather we`ve had in Berwick, and happily that weather continues this morning and is forecast to stay that way all day. A 16pt haul at Armadale last night would lead me to believe that Cook is struggling all that much.
  6. Roynon deserves a break in terms of injuries,so I hope where ever he ends up he completes the season.
  7. You`ve got to hand it to the Newcastle promotion, season on season they produce teams that challenge for PL titles, and they have done so again this season.
  8. Wish I could argue against this but in truth I cant,Berwicks inability to gain points,or wins away from home is something that needs to be looked at,especially if that team is losing points at home.Looks like the score flattered Berwick somewhat giving that they had to use 2 tactical rides. Lets hope history isnt repeating itself with Mr Kennett.
  9. Cant understand the move to put Albin at five,no disrespect to the lad but No5 he aint, leaves Sheffield very weak in the races where Albin and the reserves are paired together, and again in Ht13 where the pressure will be on Simon Stead big time.
  10. Aspegren looked good in the meeting against Leicester, but not quite so good against Newcastle, but you are right in general Aspegrens performances have been quite poor so far this season.
  11. Sheffield are coming off the back of three home defeats, and havent won a home meeting since April 18th.If Berwick have any thoughts of climbing up the PL,then an away at Sheffield is a must IMO.We`ve already lost points at home this season so points on the rode would make up for that. Im sure the Berwick promotion will be targeting this meeting as a potential win.
  12. Weathers been glorious in Berwick for a good few days now,and happily forecast to stay that way.Ipswich look a pretty decent team, and showed last year how much they liked Shielfield Park.Looking forward to this one, sadly though I can see an away win.
  13. Seems to be a plethora of threads started for this meeting.
  14. True, but Kennett has ridden for Swindon and guested for other EL clubs,Aspegren & Barrett will have picked up meetings for their overseas clubs,Starke has ridden in the NL for Dudley, for those and the others,as professional racers Id expect them to get the neccessary track time to keep them reasonably sharp during this slight break in the season. Berwick will never have a better chance of an away win.
  15. A meeting properly promoted,as has already been mentioned, posters, banners, reduced admission, free admission in some cases all helped to reward Berwick Speedway with a decent crowd, trick for the Berwick promotion now is to continue the promotional work for every meeting that guarantees as many of those fans who were there for the Sky meeting return time and time again.
  16. No please aljack alone,as next to his my posts look like the work of Shakespere.
  17. Tai Woffinden Chris Holder Niels K Iversen Freddie Lindgren Kristof Kasprazak Final Woffinden Holder Lindgren Sayfutdinov
  18. Your right but how long will it take for him to get a proper average, whatever it is,how many meetings will he miss for the Devils though Im sure the promotion mustve looked at that already.
  19. Fantastic signing for Plymouth & the PL,Plymouth must be hoping the asset system over here stays the way it is as Bech will be a valueable asset one day should they decide to sell.
  20. Why would you limit your activity on here,as long as your posts are within the rules of this forum then thats all that matters surely. It seems Sheffield Speedway and/or the track announcer scored a bit of an own goal last night.
  21. Whether its been by luck nor design or a bit of both, theres certainly been an improvement in the racing over the last 2 home meetings, hopefully the Ipswich meeting will be a continuation of the same.If we cast our minds back to last years visit of the Witches, the track was ultra slick and they handed out a lesson in gating, and gave the home side a servere beaten.
