I read the press release as that they would be in charge of the premiership in 26 because the powers that be haven't found a commercial partner.

I know there's a lot of positive feedback about BSN but personally I think it's still a bit ropey to me. I watched the free stream from Ipswich and one of the races was viewed entirely from the start line cam so you could only see the riders for about 3 seconds per lap 😂

Maybe judge it from the not free stream... That was not the normal show, due to it being (checks notes) Free. 😂

Was this the junior meeting at the end of season?

Who was the young lass in the pits? She seemed to know what she was doing

I notice you're always quick to jump in when someone criticises BSN Ian - you're welcome to your opinion however!

I'll say this though - your reply states that the free stream was a lesser quality because it was free? Not exactly a great idea from a business perspective is it?

Probably Demi Blu Harris? Saw her twice last season on 250s (Worky & Iwade), she's got some fight in her.

Can’t praise BSN enough; they’re almost single-handedly keeping the sport in the UK visible and accessible.

I hadn’t attended Ashfield for many years until I heard about BSN and tuned in. Two years later, I’m a track regular again; all because of BSN.

As such, I cannot get on-board with any criticism of them. I’ve been a season pass holder for two years now and I think they’re adapting to each venue and improving the product every year. I don’t think you can ask for any more.

They’re good people too. They’re authentic. I think Ian and Greg (Brennan and Blair, if I recall) are great.

I certainly can’t  see how there can be any criticism of BSN , you bought a package your were watching do roughly £ 5 a meeting. Race coverage was generally 1st Class and the Presentation Package on the night was excellent, unlike some Presenters on Discovery( no names) who hadn’t a clue on what to ask a rider.

No streams for me this year. Pension won’t stretch that far🥲

Watch Polish speedway for free on the internet/smart t v . Keep eye on the International section where Racer & Royals and Stewmac are excellent in providing the links for the various matches. Unless you speak Polish the commentary might be an issue but to listen to how animated some get you do not need to understand the language.

Don't disagree but there are lots of long intervals where knowing the language helps 😃

What I notice is how much a difference having a large vocal crowd makes.

But what is it with this desire to have numerous planned delays? Swedish league is the same. Momentum is lost and this shouldn't be a time for a bovril sport.

Those breaks must be difficult for even experienced broadcasters. How do you fill for 15 minutes if you've only seen 5 minutes of speedway, of which there might be 2 or 3 incidents worthy of discussion/replay. I imagine a much better product would be much easier to present.

Just a thought, but if BSN was my business I'd reach out to broadcasters or Universities with a view to providing them with an opportunity to train their staff/students.  I know Sky have an 'academy' to train presenters, reporters, commentators and technical staff of the future. What greater way to learn than by being given the opportunity to produce a live sporting event.

Sure you don't get the finished article but you do get enthusiasm and raw talent trying to improve their skills. You also get on the broadcasters radar, The broadcaster might even pay for the training opportunity or at the least you get access to free resources. Realise speedway is a bit niche but the skills required to take part in a live broadcast are all the same.

With most tracks doing their own streams for home meetings, there are some very decent and knowledgeable commentary and pits interviewers around that could be considered for BSN - if only for some variety instead of the same voices (and opinions!?).
