In my younger years I could travel by public transport to Wimbledon, West Ham, Hackney, Romford, Wembley, Rye House, New Cross, Crayford and White City for Speedway while Wimbledon, West Ham, Walthamstow, Crayford, White City, Rye House, New Cross, Harringay and for two meetings Wembley ran Stock Cars, Hot Rods and Bangers.

That means oval racing happened at eleven different stadiums in London and everyone of them now lies under a housing estate or a shopping centre except for Rye House that is just derelict.

To see Speedway I have to go to either Poole or Smallbrook but the last train to get back to London now leaves around 9pm while before COVID there were connections from services that left around 10.15pm. Result is I have not been to a speedway meeting since COVID.

In the case of four wheel action the only tracks I can get to by public are Aldershot and Yarmouth. Aldershot requires a 30 minute walk from the station to the stadium which I do around six times a season. Yarmouth is just about possible but only in the case of afternoon meetings which are rare.

The result of the loss of stadiums and transport options is that I have gone from seeing racing once or twice a week to once a month during the summer for Stock Cars and none at all for Speedway which make me very sad indeed.

You could do Oxford with relative ease, trains more or less to and from Marylebone, journey approx 80 mins and Paddington journey approx 55 mins. Trains run every 15 minutes give or take a minute or two. Trains to London run till 23:15 - 23:30. Get a 1 or 5 bus from outside the station which will take you to a stop, Longlands Rd which is about a 5 minute walk to the stadium. Buses run every 5-10 minutes.

NDL meeting on sunday 26th April Chargers vs Middlesborough 3pm start, weather etc permitting, so you could see how easy the journey is with a lot more leeway for getting back to London.

Like you triple .h. I’ve been going sins 1947 my family went to all London tracks.Since then ils been Wembley Hackney Oxford Coventry reading and now the foxes.

We should do a poll on this forum asking how many on this forum actually go week in and week out supporting their club, I bet not as many as people think. And before people even think about talking about our tracks and quality, it’s the same people who moan about Polish tracks too. Maybe it’s because we are a nation full or moaners and negativity and instead of always having something bad to say… just get your arse to the nearest track and support your club.

I feel like this perspective is shared by those running British speedway and in my opinion, it’s the biggest reason British speedway will die (as a competitive sport) in the not too distant future.

Far too many people tolerate mediocrity and outright amateurish standards, accusing those (myself included) who demand standards and improvement as ”moaners” and ”negative”.

We all want the same thing; British speedway to thrive, but I believe some of use are already anticipating what is coming while others bury their heads in the sand.

do you still have to use phone/tablet to then cast?...or can you now log in direct on a smart tv?

My smart tv doesn't support the new website so I'm casting from my phone, think it depends how old you tv is, mine is 4 years old.

Now its running, have you tried clicking on the icon that is a tv with a small arrow at the bottom, see if it gives you a list of devices available?

My parents Samsung is only 4yrs old and is no good for the BSN app to work on so far, has been fine for the previous 3 seasons, think is piss poor personally, pay out for a full season pass and can't watch a meeting via your smart tv till the app is sorted.

I can try but can't see no way round it till the app updates so it'll work on a smart tv like it has all the other previous seasons.

Ive already registered with a new password but can't watch a meeting without the stream freezing every few minutes, even refreshing the page wont help, gave up on the Workington meeting on Saturday and the Belle Vue meeting 2night because the stream just keep freezing and does bugger all after a while
