Would it really be a 28 day ban for missing 1 ride after completeing 2, surely a week ban max? To be fair a longer time out might help though I hope he doesn't hang it up like it seems Connor Bailey has as he is talented, might have just tried to much too quickly.

... and these medical people are always telling us that mental problems should be treated like physical problems. Sounds like when I wanted my mum to write me a sick note to get out of gymnastics at school and wouldn't!

When he makes the start he is as quick as anyone and has beaten some big names so I can understand why the club have persevered with him. However two Young Stars in Luke Harrsion and Jody Scott are riding superbly at the moment so I'd expect one of them to get a go now.

There is no question he has the ability to be a very good rider, he is as quick as anyone on his own but when he is with other riders he backs off. It is such a shame as he is one of the best riders of his age we have.

A complete enigma.

I’ve saw him almost lap Harris at Ashfield, then less then twelve months later, look terrified amongst under-21s on the same circuit.

I’ve saw him win the opening heats at Armadale and Scunthorpe, but look like it’s the first time he’s ever sat on a speedway bike a few days later.

Who knows what’s going on? It’s a complete guessing game, but I hope the club clarifies ASAP. Cami Brown insists on commenting on every rider in every single post-meeting interview, but last night, I saw no mention of Boughen.

I'd like us all to just try and remember what age he is and not be too hard on him. If you've played sport at any level you'll know that what's going on in your head can massively effect your performance. 

Usually talented teens just rise through the ranks maybe with a few bumps but i can't remember seeing someone with so much promise suddenly fall off like Ashton has. 

 I genuinely wish him all the best and hope he gets back to his best.

To solve a problem you have to admit there is one, and then take every bit of help offered. Never going to solve the issue if its everything and everyone else's fault. The implosion on Friday at Armadale was inevitable,  but to most unsurprising.

Half the problem is these young riders have to much pressure put on them at a young age, and to much hype is made about them soon as people think their the next big thing, same happened to Parkinson-Blackburn/Bickley to name just 2 off the top of my head over the last few yrs, just hope the same doesn't happen to Cairns/Rushden when they start racing regularly.

Professional Sport is all about pressure though. Collins,Lee,Screen ,Woffy all had the same type of hype.

See Ashton Boughen has been named in the King’s Lynn 1-7 for tonight’s meeting on the British Speedway website and in both teams socials posts, so looks like no 28 day ban incoming for him

Tigers have listed Ashton at #2 for their match at Oxford on Wednesday.     Justin Sedgmen will ride at #3 as a guest for Dan T.

This is all very odd. 

Is Ashton still a Glasgow rider, or not? 

The TM and/or promotion cannot be unaware of the social media speculation, like it or not.

It would be good to get an official statement.

If it turns out that Glasgow are not considering replacing Ashton Boughen then I for one, will be sorely disappointed. Yeah, I feel sorry for the guy but if we have any aspirations of doing well this year, we have to be ruthless.

I would say currently Glasgow and Redcar are top 2. But the change would put you favourites for sure.
