They announced the signing on the 16th of January, hardly a last minute signing, it was an open secret that he was only here for 2 months, yet they signed him anyway... not the first time they've done this. Although it's sad to lose another track, I can't say the promotion will be missed.

And if he was forced to ride and just trundled round at the back he would get slated so if a rider doesnt want to ride for you, the best option is to let them go.

It did get me thinking after my previous post about Grim Reaper Rogers...MJJ has ridden less than 50 meetings in the UK, and by the end of this season, all of his previous clubs will be defunct. I'm sure you could probably make this point with a lot of riders in the last 20 years, but it seems he and Rogers are a duo you'd want to swerve at all costs!

Obviously no-one told Paul Hunsdon - he said a few weeks ago, and I quote, "a rider who could become the signing of the season!"

Yikes - did I say that!  I meant signing of the month :(

At the recent Ipswich v Birmingham match lots of rumours Birmingham had over spent and would not be financially able to last the season

It’s well known Rew was asking for the same as Doyle and Birmingham must be paying him that or close to it …. A suicidal business model

I see Nick Morris mentioned a lot on this forum... has he expressed any intention to return to speedway?

Birmingham should have been allowed to ride in tier 2, on Mondays...

A complete waste of time, money, and credibility for the league itself, allowing/making them ride in tier 1...

has he paid his fine ?

That's the question that should be asked about Ritchie Worrall I think... didn't he cop a couple of fines?

Speedway, over the years, has shot itself in the foot. We have had speedway track owners 'selling out', Pugh, Sandu and no doubt others! We have Eastbourne, owned by a speedway family, running bangers and stocks, but not speedway! Riders demanding stupid money/fees. Engine tuners bleeding the riders dry. Speedway is like cancer (terrible to use that analogy), it's killing itself! 😢

Musielak is going to be on a bargain average for somebody next season.

Possibly, however at the moment I can’t possibly see how the top flight can carry on.  Brum going we’re down to 6 possibly 5 if the rumours about Sheffield are true.

Enjoy this year because I can’t see a league set up next year that allows for the likes of Emil to grace these shores.

What are the rumours?

Tolley says getting crowds of 600/650 not enough when they need 1000 for it to be sustainable (or words to that effect)

That was exactly the same case over 2 years ago...

Why did the penny never drop?
