Is it a self imposed rule by the sport? My assumption is that this meeting and the NDL / NDT are categorised as 'junior' speedway (and probably U21/U19 competitions in other countries too) whereas the Championship is senior racing.
arnieg
It's been the rule for nearly 3 decades. David Howe came 5th in 1997 as a 15 year old

The Cheese
I expect there's some relief that Summers gets his opportunity after the error in the qualifier.

MB723
There will be extra water breaks throughout the meeting in case BSN didn't mention it.
SilentLurker
One of the first meetings in a long time I have decided to give a miss purely down to the amount of messing about that will go on. Almost touching quarter past 2 and heat 1 has still not started so looks like the correct decision.

TheWellBehavedWorrall
Glad I gave this a miss. Really unimpressed by the standard. Best wishes and regards to Dan Thompson. I missed the replay, so I’ve only had the benefit of one viewing, but dare I say it, Killeen turned right coming out of the gate, forcing Thompson to take evasive action, cutting back, resulting in the nudge from Foord which pushed him into Killeen. Happy to stand corrected, but if that’s an accurate description once I watch it back, it’s frustrating that we’ve now had Howarth and Thompson involved in incidents which weren’t their doing. Perry is doing a job, but Boughen and Hodder should be disappointed. They look like foreigners on their own track. Another big win for Jody Scott. TheWellBehavedWorrall
Dan Thompson would have wiped the floor with this field.

Technically one of the better riders in the field, mentally one of the worst. Shame really.

topaz325
A poor decision by the ref in the final to rerun it after minimal movement by Thompson
