Speedway 2025, Birmingham announce closure at the end of the season, problems at Worky, rain offs, many injuries, guests and more guests, riders going missing riding abroad (yes I know long standing issue).

The sport is an absolute joke how itโ€™s run.

All Workington riders have been banned from guesting while the clubs suspension is taking place.

So Voulas and Foord both supposed to be riding tonight have been banned and will not be riding for Birmingham and Ipswich.

Thus could be the case although it would be somewhat harsh to suspend riders just because the club they currently ride for has been suspended as that is out of their control. There is, however, another issue. If Ipswich replace Jenkins, would he then be removed from the Rising Star list as he has a CMA in excess of 4 so is no longer eligible and therefore cannot be re-introduced at a later date.ย

This isnโ€™t hard to understand and canโ€™t see why forum members over reactย

Firstly Jason Edwards does not have a club he isnโ€™t part of Birmingham he was released for Sam Hagonย

The fact Birmingham are riding tonight is has as much relevance as Belle Vue riding tonight โ€ฆ Edwards does not have a club

Put it this way if Ipswich redeclare without Jenkins then if he comes back he can guest for any other club as he wonโ€™t be a Witchโ€ฆ come on speedway fans this isnโ€™t that technicalย

Foord was originally asked to guest

It now appears all Workington riders are banned from guesting โ€ฆ. Foord now canโ€™t ride tonightย

Speedway has lots of things that make the sport lack credibilityโ€ฆ but tonight definitely isnโ€™t one of themย

Canโ€™t understand the Workington lads being blocked from guesting, not their fault their champ club is having difficulties is it, the two young lads riding elsewhere in another league tonight would make zero difference to that situation, howโ€™s it different to ziscke riding for belle vue?

Not quite sure why everyone is struggling with this. Lynn are a perfect example. Declaring and re-declaring their side containing different RSโ€™s whenever it suits. Ipswich are without their current rising Star, so they can choose another rising Star that isnโ€™t currently declared in another teams 1-7. Whereโ€™s the confusion?

For what itโ€™s worth Iโ€™ve NEVER liked the crock of sh!te that is the rising Star scheme. You have the NDL and Championship to develop riders. When theyโ€™re good enough, theyโ€™ll naturally get their chance in the top flight (whilst itโ€™s there). As for preferential picks in order of which position teams finished in a totally different season, donโ€™t get me started on that farce!

I think this part is incorrect, it looks like Ipswich originally redeclared with Foord as a rising star, not as a guest. Presumably they then realised if they reverted back to Jenkins they could have Edwards guesting.ย

Can't they just bring in Edwards as a 28 day injury replacement and then see what happens after that with Jenkins

Don't think Ipswich management are too happy with all this, the raceday preview on their website dated 4th July keeps very slightly changing, first it said Vinnie Foord would be guesting then was amended to Jason Edwards would be guesting now it saysย "Vinnie Foord had been due to guest but the club were forced into a late change and it is Jason Edwards who now rides at number seven".ย  ย If Workington riders have been banned from guesting it's a diabolical situation I don't like to see any club go under but Workington had 7 days to sort the problem but couldn't so they were given another 7 days to sort it and in the meantime riders are being deprived of being able to work through no fault of their own.

Birmingham did Vuolas visa and as they sacked him it reverted to Workington and their riders cant ride due to these visa issues. Belle Vue did Zischke visa so hes allowed to ride.

If Workington riders aren't allowed to ride as a guest for any other team it shouldve been made clear on 27th June when the Workington situation came to light.ย

Tate Zischke can ride for Belle Vue as he is contracted to ride for them and they sorted his visa out.ย

I think it is shouldnโ€™t someone in authority know that the Workington riders are banned from taking guest booking?

I agree with that totallyย

What Iโ€™m going on about is the โ€˜fansโ€™ who canโ€™t understand why Edwards is riding โ€ฆ. The simple answer is โ€ฆ.

HE DOESNT HAVE A CLUBโ€ฆโ€ฆ.

Because he is/was out injured otherwise he would have a club, if he knew he was going for a practice last night then he should of told Bham that if all went well he would be back, if he did and Bham didnโ€™t want him then fine but did he tell them or did he just tell Ipswich ? If Birmingham redeclare him tomorrow or in next few days then itโ€™s makes a complete mockery of the sport as a team sport, credibility is everything, speedway has non ย and fans and I use the word lightly who donโ€™t see the issue are the sycophants that are enabling the end of the sport in this countryย

Itโ€™s irrelevant though, Gavan is correct he doesnโ€™t have a club so is free to guest. Not sure why youโ€™re blaming the fans for enabling it when itโ€™s the ridiculous rulebook which is the issueย
