foreverblue
The track was prepared to suit the home riders, how novel!! there was a crowd which most teams can only dream of and Glasgow were outridden, outgated and outclassed.

Nothing against the Glasgow reserves, but they must be the weakest in the league. Poland last night in the U24 league. 5 rides 5 lasts. Glasgow will win nothing with such a weak reserve pairing. Poole reserves 13+2 Glasgow 1 and that was when Hodder beat Perry. So he beat Glasgow’s reserves and one of their second strings…..Exactly what he is supposed to do…..or were you expecting him to go wheel to wheel with Bomber and Howarth?….Perhaps you think he should be beating Zmarzlik and Kurtz too…😡😡

If memory serves me correctly we had a very good centre green announcer back then first name was Richard I think. Whatever happened to him is he still any good?.

I said he made a fine debut. Indeed he won heat 2 at Sheffield tonight, beating Barker, Hagon and Sedgeman which I think was far more impressive than what he did last night at Poole. Why would you say such a silly thing regarding Zmarzlik and Kurtz? I'm not the one going round saying what an unbelievable talant he is! I'll leave that to the Poole fans and the media. I remember another british 250 world champion who was going to set the world on fire. His name was Kyle Bickly. Another world beater Boughen. Where are those two riders now? Screen,Loram and Andy Smith all made their debuts in the 1st divison at 16 and held their own. That was when all the top riders rode over here. If he goes on to be half as good as them, then he ain't done too bad.
scunny1
We are pushing these youngsters too hard and too fast. At least let them get out of Championship reserve spots, have a spell at number two and let them learn their trade at a sensible pace.

All true, I enjoyed that evening down at Wimborne Road, had expected Glasgow to turn-up and make a competition of it. Plainly you could overtake (Lawson, Harris, Rowe) but if you are at the front after turn 2 who is there to beat. Also some great defensive riding by Zac. All the winging about the Poole track is like a scratched record, the surface is only one factor, the length and width are equally important, but you have to go with what you have available. The ground staff appear to put the work in, is there a lack of depth to the shale I don't know. Are all the other tracks great? No only some of them. Roll on the 16th can't wait.
