Reserves only 3 rides each and it would make it more worth the money seeing the big guys an extra time each. Should adopt the TS rules of Poland too. I also agree just have a superheat/run off for agg purposes The Polish formula seems to work well. Hence it won’t be adopted here.
The White Knight
Silly idea in my opinion. a Draw is a Draw - and that should be it. Typical Speedway. Why make it straightforward when you can complicate it. 🙄

Plus you need to have an A level in mathematics to understand the league table nowadays. I take it you could actually win the league without winning a single meeting all season with this points scoring system

Gavan
This will sound daft after last night but a superheat the vast majority of the time will favour the home team thus making the away teams riders get nothing for their efforts all night Especially worse on an aggregate score … for example Ipswich could beat Belle Vue by 20 in the home leg…. Then lose by 20 in the away leg yet the ‘superheat’ is held only at one track where the second leg is and huge home advantage … this is not a pop at Belle Vue because the first leg could be at Belle Vue and then Ipswich get a superheat at Foxhall where Doyle and Emil are clear favourites in the second leg 90-90 over 30 heats and yet one race decides on who goes to the final at the HOME teams track feels wrong I don’t know the answer … you could say race wins but that would stop team riding Maybe match races by this I mean 7 more heats 1v1 against your opposing number and one team would get 4 wins I don’t know I read what I wrote and that seems silly a bit lol Anyone think of any ideas

Then even if one team, can't gain the extra point, a 5-1 could prevent the opposition gaining it?
PersonalResponsibility
It's the aggregate super heat that I don't really get. How can you have 2 different meetings on 2 different tracks and then have the decider on one the club's home track? Especially in a sport as poorly organised as speedway when there's any amount of reasons as to why meetings could be rearranged/rescheduled, again giving one side an advantage. As for the super heat for a draw on the night...why?

mikebv
Have two bonus points for an aggregate win (treat it as winning one 30 heat meeting) and have one point each for a drawn aggregate score.... Or put a dart board on the centre green and play nearest the bull... Edited 12 hours ago by mikebv

We drew with Sheffield over 30 races then they had the home advantage when it came to the decider. We always have the second leg for this very reason. RS50
Why is the 4 3 2 0 scoring system used?. Means avoiding last is the priority. Why not 4 2 1 0, making winning a priority. Surely winning should be a priority when you have a race with 4 riders of the quality of Emily, Doyle, Bewley and Kurtz.

May as well just do a 1 vs 1 run off then if just about winning the race. Scoring system is fine the way it is as encourages team riding. Teromaafan
Two points for a win. One point for a draw. One point for the aggregate win. No super heats. If scores are level on aggregate, adopt a count back approach, fewest last places over the two legs. Super heats are ultimately about not finishing last to put the emphasis on league racing being a team sport. The outcome of a single race would therefore replaced with teams performances over two meetings, thus reflecting what the aggregate point is supposedly about. SPEEDY69
I think it's great, creates interest and chatter, such s this thread and you get an extra race, what's not to like!
WembleyLion
I agree with much of what has been said. Nothing wrong with a draw. It’s just a gimmick that needs to end up in the bin with the likes of six lap races and double points for tactical rides.
Baldyman
Personally I would like to see all the teams riders dressed as giants and do an obstacle course,, just like it's a knockout used to do,,, now that was entertainment

How could you possibly bring that idea into a professional sport like speedway 😄 (Just like they did a few seasons ago 😟).
