Whether it happens or not for me, MJJ (now confirmed) Dudek, Emil, Łaguta would make it considerably stronger, drop Kai, Kvech, Vaculik and Anders, I would also as an actual wildcard (not just the merry go round of riders classed as wildcard) add in Drabik. Just try something slightly different.
My line up:

Zmarzlik

Kurtz

Bewley

Lindgren

Holder

Lebedevs

Lambert

Madsen

Woryna

Kubera

MJJ

Dudek (qualified or wildcard)

Emil (Wildcard)

Łaguta (Wildcard)

Doyle or Drabik (Wildcard) - Doyle may well believe it’s beginning to slow down in his career as he has signed for M.2 Krosno team so maybe he can re qualify officially for SGP 2027.

Imo Vaculik will certainly get a WC due to the Prague GP as well as Martin only having one bad year, Apart from this season, He's actually been a decent addition to the GP series with multiple GP victories.

Doyle has had many wild cards now and is always missing injured, and there are 3 Aussies ahead of him so I think his time is up IMO.

Max Fricke is a given and only missed out on the points system (the old format he would have been 7th over Lambert)

Then there’s the conversation around Martin Vaculik who had a massive fall off this year but has been a consistent rider for the last 6+ years so I think he deeerves one also.

I’d give one to Laguta if the powers that be finally have some sense. I’d love to give one to Emil but I believe we are starting to see him past his best.

then I believe the SGP2 champion should be an automatic qualification.

So if there is four (dependant on SEC), I would like to see:

Max Fricke
Martin Vaculik
Artem Laguta
Nazar Parnitskyi

It's interesting this year (or should be) because you'd expect Fricke, Vaculik, Doyle, or Thomsen/Michelsen to get them, but I'm not sure they will.

Fricke is nailed on obviously, but will Doyle be when there are 3 other Aussies. Same as Thomsen/Michelsen when you already have Madsen/MJJ. I think Vaculik just about deserves one more season. That then leaves a nice Emil/Artem shaped gap...alas...

They did say they were having the SWC in May at Warsaw, which sounds like the biggest 'I'll believe it when I see it' yet.

If they don't do a Cardiff with this, it could be the final nail in the coffin as far as WBD are concerned, which wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion.

Doyle has to get a wildcard

Crashed out mid GP when on 5 points … missed a Gp then rode injured in 2 GP …

He would have finished above Michelsen possibly Fricke and maybe Lambert

There simply is no argument to put anyone who finished below him back in

Fricke and Doyle it has to be then maybe Michelsen

One thing that seems to be very quiet is discovery over next year, venues, dates, have they announced anything regarding next year ?

If rumors from Poland are to be believed WBD wont be involved anymore next year. Apparently they are in the process of selling all the speedway rights. There should be an official announcement coming soon.

Maybe speedway futures Ltd are buying it

A bit like Madsen should have had a wild card this year, unfortunately what should happen and what actually does happen have been 2 very different things these last few years

Hopefully the end of "a new era"!

Kurtz did all he could to be number 1 this year. Nobody good enough to help him out by topping Zmarzlik. We need possible challengers. Doyle top class in his day at the top level but those days are now gone and he’ll know it deep down. He may challenge once or twice but over 10 rounds. No chance. Wild cards must be possible challengers or it will be the same predictable results on boring circuits. For what it’s worth I’d go for Laguta, Emil, Madsen and woffinden ( box office )

Madsen is already in, woffinden days are gone as a world force, nothing nox office about him these days except his swearing, in kasper woryna we might have some entertainment, I don’t think he will break the top 8 but he not afraid to mix it even with zmarzlik  it should be at least laguta even if not Emil but both would be a welcome pick

Suppose it says everything about the strength of the top level riders these days when it’s so hard to find 4 credible challengers to make each round more interesting. I agree woffindens best days are behind him but one thing he isn’t is mundane and boring, which is what top level speedway has become with no characters like Ward , Carter , Havelock etc . Hopefully he’ll come back stronger after his lay off this year . We already know the top 3 in 2026 and probably in the same order .
