SUPERACE
7 minutes ago, IainB said: As gutted as I am to see the Lions lose I think that a Witches victory is probably the best for British Speedway, first of all that size crowd doesn't deserve to be sent home unhappy and hopefully many will return. Ippo have been the team to beat for the last 3 seasons, they took the financial gamble in bringing Emil back 3 years ago to partner Doyley and we've all benefited from that, they've worked the rulebook to within an inch of its life this year (and fair play to them for that) and they've got a true local legend captaining the club which is rare to see these days (even though he comes in for a bit of stick from certain quarters) Well done Witches, well deserved and earned... our final was the semi final again (we've got to stop celebrating semi final victories like that!)... it's our turn next year The Aces were the best team in 2023. We blew it in the 1st leg at Ipswich.

He was looking at a camera on the fence, 3 fence panels from the tapes. Still, congratulations to Ipswich. Think you right.Possibly the camera was hiding the green light off gate 4 though,as a home rider he would know where the green light was.Think that was his complaint. Steve Shovlar
Danny King is such a nice, genuine guy. Always makes a point of saying hello when he sees me and always gives his all. But he has a bigger match tomorrow night at Redcar, against the mighty Pirates in the KO Cup. Tonight he saw victory, tomorrow defeat. For the size of the town Ipswich citizens really do come out and support their teams. Must have been the biggest crowd in British speedway for a while, which was great to see. Over 7,000?

Lovely guy and fully deserves all the success that comes his way.

Not sure - but you know it was big as they opened the 2nd area of seating on the back straight and that never happens! Too right about Danny chuffed for him, I recall at the beginning of his career his disappointment when Ipswich lost after a run off at Wolves 2005ish? - its taken many years but he has the league winners medal now with Ipswich!! Thats the not won owt since 1998 monkey off their backs - well done - comiserations to Leicester - they could have easily folded after the first leg but this wasn't a formality by any means.

Hackett
Congratulations to the Ipswich Witches Premiership Champions. Decent effort from the Leicester Lions just come up short over the two legs but the Witches deserved it over the two legs. (Plus they have three former Eastbourne Eagles) Now to see what the AGM brings chaos, carnage and revamp.

Meanwhile congratulations to the Witches on their worthy Playoff success and to the Lions for their continued fight to the end.

ShanoXtra
To have this support tonight was so special for the lads, it felt hard work at times and deffo you could feel real pressure and nerves in the crowd and riders at times. To have to open the back stand on bend three because of the amount of people is a credit to the fans, the running and promotion of the club and the riders. I don’t know how good the meeting looked on tv, but it felt special to have so many people here tonight and the joy in the riders faces on the centre green celebrating just made the night amazing. Leicester were worthy finalists and on another night could have won it, but something just felt special about tonight, like it was meant to be our night. I hope speedway won tonight and not just Ipswich. We need to build this sport back to bring these crowds back. 2025 you’ve been special! Thanks for all teams who raced us, rivals or not, I hope everyone experiences what I felt tonight 🏆👏🏻 Until next time… Edited 4 hours ago by ShanoXtra .
