I’m not sure the work visa would be the issue as far as Emil is concerned.

I think it’s more to do with if Emil wants to do it again and/or Torun position on it.

Torun would deffo not have a say on whether he rides or not, any rider can choose any league they want, it’s purely down to Emil and how it’s a lot easier to get to Scandinavia from Poland than it is to fly to UK or if he can get another visa.

Generally much better than those who run it as an expensive hobby, or get it subsidised by stock cars...

Maybe when it is your day to day income stream it focuses the mind more? 

A few more like Chris Louis and the sport would be in much better shape...

Not so sure on that tbh, A lot of compliments for a track that he's rarely done well on imo.

Seems to me like Dan is basically letting the management know that he's keen on riding for Ipswich.

If the team building rules stay the same and if it's 2 leagues in 2026 then Doyle is on a average under 8.00 so Ipswich will have room for a rider on Bewley's average if Emil does depart.

That's a lot of if's though.

The podium was British Speedways, it would have been at any track for the final.  Also he said one of the better meetings hes watched, not the best meeting for ages.  Regardless it isn't a crime to say you enjoyed watching a meeting, especially when you ride for a team who's track is regarded  by most as the best in the world.  As I said why would Belle Vue care that Dan enjoyed the meeting, im a Belle Vue fan and I enjoyed the meeting🤣

I wouldn’t be so sure. Riders careers are short and financial gain kicks in more as riders mature. We all know The Aces have no chance of outbidding the witches if push came to shove and tapping up riders before the season has even gone cold is a well known trait of theirs. The patchwork nature of their teams, culled from the declarations over the years could easily see them poaching another Brit currently sitting second in his teams averages. 

Dan’s due a testimonial next season with us (should have been this season but for his ban in ‘22) so you’d hope he’d remained an Ace for that reason but money talks. 

 

Maybe if The Aces ever get a chance of clinching the play off cup in front of a home crowd, then we could finally present a podium to be proud of though I have to thank Sheffield & Leicester for giving us a fine podium to celebrate our achievements recently.

That’s is true, currently I would say it’s not a definite no go but I get the feeling it might be.

It was great to hear Louis & Hawkins on the radio yesterday morning. 
 

Talking already about building a team to keep on winning. 
 

2025 was great season, winning on the track & enjoying some banter on here & on the terraces, winding the opposition up. It’s all part of the fun looking forward to 26 already

He probably won’t go anywhere, but he SHOULD IMO. Mike makes some great points. He’s not adding strings to his bow by pinning the throttle and riding the boards at the NSS every week. He seems to have only one way of riding and does the same in the GP’S.  Again Mike is correct, he’s been passed multiple times on the inside because of his lack of track craft.

He would improve as a rider tenfold by riding Ipswich every week or a track similar. One where he’d simply HAVE to adapt and learn to ride different lines if he wanted to pile in the points and earn good money.

No time for patting yourself on the back and dwelling on your success. Thoughts should, and would, already be fixed on next year. Ipswich now have a couple of riders on averages they shouldn’t really touch. King started on an attractive figure because of his wrist issues last year which saw his performances dive. He’s had a good steady year which has seen that average rise and now has an average that Ipswich shouldn’t go near if they want to be successful. Surely now is the perfect time for him to bow out at Ipswich on a high note after lifting the title as captain?

Unfortunately, you can say the same about Dan Thompson. Started on a ridiculously low figure due to a 25% reduction, has piled in the points at reserve, but has struggled a little when moving in to the main body. Now on a 6+ average, he wouldn’t be at reserve next year. Still young of course, but I’m not sure I’d have him in the main body of the side on that figure. Certainly doesn’t scream “bargain”.

They’d be neither “tapping up” or “poaching” Dan Bewley. Dan Bewley is not currently Belle Vue’s rider. He’s a free agent and can negotiate with whomever he likes, and Chris Louis can do likewise.

Mark Lemon can enter negotiations with Tom Brennan if he wishes, or Jason Doyle, or any 2025 Ipswich witches rider come to that. He’d be doing absolutely nothing wrong. No tapping up or poaching needed.

Probably a completely different take when you’re watching sat up in the stands, compared to actually standing on it.

It’s a very nice compliment to Ipswich either way. It was some occasion, an occasion we haven’t seen the like of anywhere here for a number of years. Fair play to them.

Anyway the dust has settled,  I've finally managed to watch a recording,  thanks to YouTube and rifling data from hubby's phone due to Internet failure from Thursday afternoon until this lunchtime so thanks city fibre and EE 🤡,  it's hit me now that this Thursday in the pits, the magnificent 7 ( well 9) won't be there,  that's it😲

What a fabulous team we've had the privilege to watch and support.
