Let's be honest though this is pretty pish poor Speedway, yes I know it's good to give the kids a chance and they're all giving it their best efforts etc. I've been trawling through last night's Poole topic while watching this and quite frankly the Speedway tonight is no better than last night and everybody on that topic has gone into meltdown!

What's on offer tonight really should be 2nd half stuff (at all senior meetings)

Trouble is there is a disparity between the riders …. 7 riders who ride at championship level including Rushen and the rest out of their depth which makes it a poor spectacle

Mulford shouldn’t be riding either

Poole v Glasgow was shocking you can’t compare a league match to an individual where the field is anything but level

Yes you are right and all second half meetings should be using these riders. Take it for what it is, which is those trying to make a way in the sport. It has costs supporters nothing if you are watching the stream so I don’t see an issue. For the purist who only want league racing it is not for those followers. Credence for Ipswich and the mentors who have been on site offering help and advice and putting the meeting on.  No different to some of the meetings in Poland with the junior riders. I really do not get those who criticise this level but each to their own.

Bear in mind if there was one big league those in the line up tonight would be the 2nd strings and reserves......

Awarded before 1 lap completed! Farce! What happened to having to finish 4 laps?

In a pairs the one rider left would score 4 points the 2nd pair would get 5 points, yes robbing the fans of one race, but was about 22.10 when the heat ran, Ipswich might have a curfew

The meeting was abandoned due to curfew. The pairs race does not officially stand, although Kev on the centre green said Ipswich will recognise the result. Cooper was who most people went tonight to watch let’s be honest and he didn’t disappoint, best moves made by him and best bike control when he almost ended up on the stock car track. To finish 2nd only to a Premiership rider isn’t a bad nights work. I’m sure Mr Louis will have his eye on him.

Probably a crowd of 200/300? The back straight stand was almost empty with everyone choosing to stand on bends one and two which is normally underneath the cameras, or in the smaller start line stand, I was there so can’t say how it looked on TV.

Ipswich held the best 2025 crowd last week (including Manchester SGP), tonight was more like our equivalent crowd for SoN 😂
