depends how you look at the payment they get

yes a top rider spends more on his equipment to stay at the top

but 5 points from a reserve is often a better performance than 10 points from a no1

so why should points money be so much different for a reserve  or no1 heat leader

maybe points money should be exactly that a set amount per point regardless of team position just the signing on fee or start money be different  depending on deal done per rider

I remember a few years ago, being told that Len Silver, the then promoter at Rye House, paid all seven riders the same amount per point, whether they were a number one or a number seven or anything in between. This came directly from a rider and his dad.

Whether there were add-ons to that, I don't know.  There quite possibly was (sponsorship etc).

So it's Craig Cook. How often will he turn up to meetings?

Hopefully he wants to make up for his last stint at Northside. I know he's been smashing the gym a lot, so maybe a fit, motivated Cookie will arrive come the start of the season.

Big gamble this on the last two seasons history of him packing in mid season. Never thought I'd see him back for the Comets after what he di in 2024 but the promotion have obviously accepted it now and moved on.

Craig Cook when fit is still a top 10 rider in the Championship trouble is staying fit and motivated.

They'll never learn... cannot understand for the life of me why anyone would sign Craig at this point. An absolute liability, completely unpredictable and has let down clubs year on year.

Good luck Workington, I suspect at somepoint this season you'll need it once Craig disappears...
