IPSWICH TRU7 GROUP WITCHES 2026 (in average order):

Tom Brennan (Great Britain) 7.05

Richard Lawson (Great Britain) 6.83

Tobiasz Musielak (Poland) 6.63

Danny King – captain (Great Britain) 6.50

Scott Nicholls (Great Britain) 5.26

Philip Hellstrom-Bangs (Sweden) 4.50

Jason Edwards (Great Britain) Rising Star

I think it's not a bad team at all, no superstars although I think Emil and Jason were not quite the riders they had once been .

I agree... looks fairly decent and should be solid at home.  Personally I would like to see King step aside as skipper - having lifted the big one last season - and perhaps give Brennan the extra responsibility, he could thrive on it.

Good to have the clarity re the team etc, so the Witches have gone strength in depth this time - will enjoy it anyway - nice to see Tobi finally a Witch about 2-3 seasons after he asked for a team spot!  He should be good to watch at Foxhall!

Awesome Richard Lawson will be a solid and reliable rider too.

I always said Scotty would come back to finish his career as a Witch!

Looks like King remains as Captain. The “Club Officials” page has been updated today

Didn't they both have bad smashes in 2025 I think as you get older those kind of things catch up with you more than if your in your teens or twenties.

It's one of those teams that everyone has to be on it for it to win, and as we know from past experiences,, that doesn't happen as often as would like..

I see it winning 75 percent of home meetings and zero away, which to me means 5th, poss 4th at a push. Sorry for being negative towards this team, but that's just the way I see it

What interests me the most is if there is going to be a new track man,, and how they prepare the track

I can see a top 5 finish for the Witches....   Unless Northampton make a late entry.

I think it will be bottom 5 myself

No one predicted Peterborough to win it a few seasons ago, it only takes a few injuries to other teams (not that I want any riders to get injured)

To be fair when Pboro won it the top league was probably the worst its ever been for quality and they did it on seven riders who had all been at the top of their game 10-15 years ago, all of them were still a decade past their best but due to such a weak league they were still good enough to get over the line

Yet the oldest member of that team is lining up for the Witches in 2026 and Plymouth In the CL ,decade and a half past his best !

And benefited hugely by using Ostergaard's average, which he gained whilst at reserve, but subsequently put him at No1...

With his long term injury, meaning plenty of decent guests or RR covered by any of the team..

A perfect storm, season...

I don't remember it as a weak league year at all.  Give them some credit, they rode really well as a team to win.
