Should be the other way around if anything, or 2 for both leagues It makes sense to me, assuming the idea is to stop 2.00 juniors being used, to strengthen up the top 5, when they could be wildly out of their depth (not saying Rushen will be). You could make an argument that the minimum should be 4.00!

old bob at herne bay
As I and others have said before, and I will say again. What's the value of a speedway club for any potential buyer ? A bunch of fixtures and fittings. Goodwill (value heaven only knows) in 2026 in a league of 5 or 6 or another number Forecasts of future gate receipts based on last years books expressions of interest from some of last seasons riders to race for the side expressions of interest to past sponsors your team support from BSPL and Speedway Futures who really need you in their league Against that you will have to fund BSPL joining fees and guarantee bond Riders signing on fees new air fence Advance rent for stadium truck load of shale insurance
Aries
Difficult to tell without seeing the others, but looks a very good team for a 37 point limit. Castagna will be inconsistent, good meeting here and there, but struggle a little in more. But all the others will have a rider like that also. Hamish McRaker
What happened to Ashton Boughen? I thought he was supposed to be the new big young thing.
Col
Why would KLS retain Ben Cook who decided he was too injured to ride for them most of 2025 despite the fact he kept riding for Leszno when NKI & Lawson are surely available? He came back at the end of the season riding very well, if he continues then he has a lot of scope for improvement. He is reliable and found riding in Poland easier than here with the injury he had. Lawson a lot less likely to injure himself plastering than Cook bowing to his Polish paymasters imo.
Steve Irving
I think it’s high time everyone stopped using the word “potential” regarding Ben Cook. He’s 28 years old, not some up and coming teenager. Nobody would use the word potential with Adam Ellis any longer and he’s only a year older. Cook has reached his level. Think everyone would take Lawson over Cook, but that would have taken Lynn over the limit if my maths isn’t off (usually is tbf). A few will be squeezed out due to a 37 limit instead of 40 for top 6.

Personally I think an injury free season for Cook and he can improve on 6.whatever he is on but we shall see.

That’s without picking the bones out of Oxford and Birmingham although not many stand out granted. Musielak, Rew, Janowski maybe. So even a team that hasn’t even started to team build yet whether that be Ipswich or a mythical team that nobody knows about, could still build a competitive team almost by default.

He hasn't had many seasons at Premiership level though, I think with an injury free season he can improve above Lawson, he was not far behind Lawson at Poole and I think he is a better rider now. hasta la vista
All KL fans slagging off Cook last season now reading in this thread all seem happy he's in the team. Would say you couldn't make it up but with speedway fans makes perfect sense....
