I never thought Speedway could go any lower or be more embarrassing. But it surprises me daily .Not sure if i should   laugh or Cry..i guess Sam Fox was unavailable

She's doing the Premiership draw. They wanted Melinda Messenger for the NDL but it didn't meet the minimum 30 seconds.

So everyone knocking linda lusardi doing the draw really!! What harm is it,I guess you would all rather have Godfrey and vatcher doing it,that is why speedway struggles to move forward soon as anything different is tried all the old farts start moaning, get a grip ffs!

I didn't see the harm in it, it also meant as we could actually see the draw Berwick avoided Redcar 😁😁

The harm is in how speedway presents itself 

In a time where we have seen all of the work that has gone on to make the sport look more professional and modern in its presentation on tv etc how do you sell that to potential sponsors and media partners if they then go on the associations official social media and see this. 

What large company would put their name to something as amateurish 

If we accept stuff like this as ok then we are accepting that speedway is now an amateur colloquial sport that will never be taken seriously.

I am not sure that the "paper bag" used is a recognised official BSP Homologated draw dispenser...

Therefore, the draw should be rendered "Null and Void" for me, and only re drawn as and when said "paper bag" has been trade marked and officially endorsed by an ex World Speedway Champion..

The salubrious surroundings, and of course Ms. Lusardi's presence itself, are actually things that accurately, and clearly, reflect the stature, and importance of fhe Championship KO Cup, therefore, ensuring that the "paper bag" used to dispense the team names has the same level of gravitas is fundamentally important...

Hats off to those in charge though,, as many of us on here have often said that they needed to employ a well respected, results delivering, professional marketing company, to publicise the sport, even if it costs a fair few quid to do so...

This certainly looks like they have listened, and done just that...

NB. May I humbly suggest Mr Timmy Mallett to do the Premiership draw?

(If they can get enough teams obviously)...

You can't see the harm .. You not seeing what the harm is why speedway struggles

Bang on. There's a world of difference between being innovative or thinking outside the box and this. Can you imagine any other sport paying £27 for a Cameo of Linda Lusardi doing a draw for one of their competitions? Even if we forget that Cameo is used for p1sstaking videos more often than not...Linda Lusardi? Really?

There are plenty of good ideas floated on here and social media, most of which would probably be genuinely good. This wasn't one.

It makes no sense to think we should be positive about something because it hasn't been tried before. If next year's FA Cup draw is done through by Ulrika Johnson through Cameo, I'll come back here and admit I was wrong. We'll see.
