Northampton 2026

Recommended Posts

I don’t particularly follow the sport that closely in this country since I don’t have a team to support anymore but its remarkable how we are at the point we are at with teams closing yet when a new one arrives people still can only find the negatives. They’ve done a fantastic job building that team in the timeframes they have been working to, hopefully it’s a success.

Surely its the annual time of the year when  people say Klindt  is on a bargain average.

As for the name..with H Man links with Reading..how about the Bulldogs ?

Agreed if Zagar is happy/motivated they should win most of home meetings, if he's not fussed they will be up against it.

Zager was terrible most of the time last year.No doubt will be overpaid as usual.

To paraphrase the usual answer when you mention Speedway to someone in a town that has their own team....

"Speedway? Is that still starting?"...:D

I really think you are being unkind with your comments 😂. According to the newbies on this forum and those who post once in a generation, you should embrace the situation and be thankful for what the sport offers in this country because these contributors are so right and the likes of the long suffering followers are so wrong and need to dismissed as not following the rules which these members believe are correct and should not be challenged. In the meantime I will stick with the Polish version as I don’t understand the language and therefore the total boll..cks that may have or is being spoken goes right over my head unlike the UK version which needs no translation and leaves no doubt on where the sport stands in the eyes of a few.

Leicester should be welcoming this, they finally have a local rival in sport, (their football fans try and claim they have one with Forest, but it isn't a real derby, not like Forest v Derby).

The biggest rivalry in rugby union is Leicester and Northampton. The games can be pretty intense, like it should be.

Batchelor ?.

Thoughts with the good people at Northampton Speedway at this difficult time.

Workington comets fans will disagree. He's been good for us barring the odd performance.

Last time he rode in the prem, as a guest, he done well too. He'll be fine, especially in the position hes riding.

Exactly this if they all click on the same day, they may spring the odd surprise...

Lidsey for me is in a similar bracket to Brennan, probably didn't expect to be a no.1 this season but hopefully pushes both riders on

all capable of being inconsistent, if they all drop the ball same night they'll take a few hammerings but as said could surprise a few too, adds some interest...

this season is a little weaker as we are missing some top line names so riders like Lidsey and Tom Brennan have their chance to step out from the shadows of riders like Doyle and Emil etc

Quite right with the Ipswich situation the league was in serous doubt - but it is good we have 6 teams in the PL to moan about in 2026!

LCFC & Forest in different divisions and likely to continue for a few more seasons so no local rivalry (fiction or otherwise) for some time to come.

Agree he’s done a good job for us mainly solid scorer home and away for us, capable of beating anyone too.
