Still no streaming link. Guess Plymouth are not bothering tonight. A case of be there or miss out. A shame as their streams last season were excellent.

The Plymouth website though is a mess. Out of date team photo from last year, and don’t click in the tickets link if you don’t want you browser to go into meltdown (safari on an iPad)

FIM??

No not FIM, they don’t get involved domestically, it will be country’s own licence issuer but up till now a British speedway insurance was paid per race by the rider and now that’s been dropped

I’m not sure why riders don’t get their own cover anyway, I took mine out in 1994 with the CICA and still have it today because it covers you for pretty much everything except war but even with personal cover it does not let speedway off the hook to provide cover too, I see the bspl are saying the ACU covers it now, what about foreign riders who don’t ride under the ACU ?

If I were you I'd add war cover 😂

Clarification of a sort.  Again though, poorly communicated and a statement that feels like it was rushed through

Wouldn’t be like Ben Barker to open his mouth without knowing what he’s talking about would it. 😁

But in Toby’s case Ben is right. Last season he would be covered for last nights crash by his insurance deduction per race. This season he is not covered that way. We don’t know what his cover is with the Danish Federation and whether it is the same or not. I am also picking up that transponders are expiring and it is down to the rider to pay for the subscription. However if rider A pays the subscription and moved clubs some clubs are saying the transponder stays with them and not the ride. Why subscribe for something that is not yours. And remember when Emil and Tate were stabbed b the wheel adjuster on their bikes during crashes. The solution to that was a more round wheel adjuster, however still not implemented in British speedway yer as no-one confirmed it to the riders.

I read somewhere a broken femur, a nasty facial cut, a punctured lung and damaged ribs. I'm hoping that isn't true...

Not seen the crash... were the airbags involved?

Both Thomsen and Lawson piled into the third bend airfence at full speed with their bikes. Be surprised the crash footage will be available due to Tobias’ injuries. The airfence did it’s job to a certain extent, and had to be replaced.

Must have been the bikes that did the damage then rather than the bags lifting? I wonder if these crashes are ever reviewed by anybody afterwards for safety purposes?

OK thanks. Got it.

How the hell anyone can find it is a miracle as it’s not on the Plymouth Gladiators website.

Injury or insurance update?

Either... or both, amazing that in 2026, in the information age, information is so difficult to come by in Speedway

How could the ref not be aware who was in heat 9? Shouldn't the team manager declare any changes & if he didn't, shouldn't the referee pay attention to who's in the race?

Get well soon Tobias.

Think the Ref has  to take the blame if he didn’t realise what riders were in heat 9 .Very poor.

Good grief, Lawson excluded for stuffing away  rider into the fence, and the home fans cry “harsh decision “ ! Quelle Surprise .

( Memories of Dugard doing the same most weeks at Eastbourne 😂

Makes the return leg a formality today ….. and the Poole Fans will be on their way to another “win everything”  season.
