Aries
No previews up yet from either club but thought I’d get a thread up and running. Going to feel a bit strange post the Louis era and also not hearing Kevin Long on the mic, but I’m looking forward to a meeting. Any result is possible here! Home win, away win or draw. I’ll sit on the fence and go 45-45.
Bagpuss
Of course the latest forecast has rain/showers on one day of the next seven, guess which one 😂 Plenty of time for that to change though. As excited as I am about this Lynn side I think the two reserves will find life tough initially and Ipswich have an awful lot of Foxhole know how in their side, so I reckon a home win of something in the region of 48-42. Steve Irving
Ipswich should be dominating the reserve area. Edwards should have the beating of both Lynn reserves let alone Bangs. It MAY be the best time to face them while Bangs gets to grips with a notoriously tricky Foxhall but with his pedigree, he should still be coming out on top. The more I look at Ipswich’ team the more I think they’ll go unbeaten at home. They’ve collected a group of Foxhall specialists and you can’t see any of the top five having a really duff meeting there. 50-40.

Yes indeed in general - but this is Kings Lynn and you have to always start optimistically 1

I think both Sheffield and Leicester have sides that can be dangerous around Foxhall but if they ride to their ability should be able to beat everyone at home and the long tails of belle vue and lynn will be their undoing on the road and as you say Foxhall a particularly tough away track. Hard to say with Northampton but they look the weakest and shouldn’t be troubling us at foxhall
Steve Irving
Have sneaky feeling Musielak is going to sparkle this year. Ipswich a similar kind of set up as Sheffield and the last time he was at such a club he was a 9 pointer.

TTT
Don't think this will be close, Ben Cook has never done any good around Foxhall, King's Lynn's reserves will surely need time to settle in imo. If PHB settles in straight away then this could be an Ipswich win by 20+ imo. I'll go with a 52-38 prediction though.
StarBoy Posted yesterday at 07:49 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:49 AM This will be a lot closer than what the Witches fans are predicting. I think Ipswich will win but by a very tight margin. 47-43. Ipswich 1. Brennan - 10 (5) 2. Nicholls - 6 (4) 3. Musielak - 7 (4) 4. King - 7 (4) 5. Lawson - 8 (5) 6. Hellstrom Bangs - 4 (4) 7. Edwards - 5 (4) Total - 47 King’s Lynn 1. Fricke - 14 (5) 2. Castagna - 3 (4) 3. Harris - 8 (4) 4. Cook - 5 (4) 5. Kvech - 10 (5) 6. Rushen - 2 (4) 7. Scott - 1 (4) Total -
Aries Posted yesterday at 08:43 AM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:43 AM Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Fricke go through the card here. He was excellent on his visits last season and dropped very few points, and obviously doesn’t have Emil and Doyle to contend with this year either. He’s always been half decent in the past but he really stepped it up a gear last season like he did pretty much everywhere really. Will be interesting to see if he keeps that standard up, or if it was just one of those seasons where everything seemed to fall in to place for him. Chance for Brennan to lay down a marker of his own and show people he’s ready for that number 1 on his back.

What do you suggest the 'powers that be' should have done to cater for a rider incurring significant damage and cost in his first race of the season? - signing on fee? - higher points money? - increased admission charge? ShanoXtra
I’m just putting it out there, I feel (we) Ipswich will win this one, but people may be sleeping slightly on Cooper. The last meeting of the season at Foxhall he rode extremely well and made some good movements in positions for cut backs or going outside of riders. I expect him to get in and amongst it and cause PHB and Edwards some problems.

Rushen was beaten that night by Trigger, Loftus, and twice by Mulford who he didn’t look close to competing with. Let’s not forget Mulford has a Championship average over two points LESS than Ipswich #7 and rising star, Edwards, let alone a Swedish U21 Champion. That’s the scale of what he’ll be up against. I’m not saying he won’t get in amongst them as he’s clearly a talented boy, but he shouldn’t be expected to beat either at this moment but as I say, that doesn’t mean he won’t. He’ll have better opportunities on the horizon against weaker reserve pairings but he’ll be up against IMO the strongest reserve pairing in the league currently. Having said that, he’d do well to stay completely clear of Bangs while he’s getting to grips with Foxhall! Could be a very interesting spectacle watching his early heats on Thursday which is the main reason I’m taking the trip across to give him a look.

I might well agree with you, but I was only responding to another poster who suggested BSPL was negligent in some way, without saying what they should have done
