Yes but if Gilkes is not fit yet maybe we should be looking elsewhere or just wait to see if he can get fit with Leicester.

If that's the case, I wouldn't feel the need to look elsewhere - yet.

Bowes hasn't started the season well, but as long as his rolling ave remains above 5, they have more options to replace him. But as his average won't change till June at the earliest, gives him time to find form.

When they had 8 riders for 7 team places, that time wasn't available, if Poole didn't bring Gilkes back in, someone else probably would.

Mulford back up to no2, so will be Jody and Ace at reserve.

Hard to call this one. A lot could depend on who is at 5, as they recently swapped Jake and Jason around. Also what the decision is between Newman and Gilkes.

I will go for a 48-42 if pushed.

Bears just need to keep it close , fill the minor places, sound familiar, just hope track allows for good racing and fair refereeing

Fancy Poole to win this one, Scott vs Rushen could be interesting.

I'll say Poole win, but Redcar reach 40.

Rushen has been out scoring Scott, in King's Lynn meetings which might be an indicator of how things will go.

Re Gilkes, seems like his injury has had a big impact on him both physically and confidence wise. Recovery could take a long time to get back to form. Bowes is the better bet imo, but he appears to need some form of help, mechanical or psychologically.

Only problem the 🤡 won't listen, plenty of people offered to help at worky last year

I think Bowes will come good in time and with Poole being strong they are able to deal with his low scores by his standards .
No need for any rash moves .

I tend to agree, good to hear that Fraser helped Lawson out the other day, when Richard's van broke down. It's a bit of team building, might help Bowes feel more like he fits in at Poole. These kinda things can be useful.
