ASpeedwayfan
Sad to see Dan not get a chance. But heās going to be playing catch up. If he wasnāt able to start the season then I find it hard to see him getting to 110% in the next couple of months. Which is what you need to have if you are going to be a pirate.Ā pressure on Bowes now to turn his form around

Maybe if Bowes was getting 7/8 home and away they may have gone with Dan. But he needs to race for at least a month/6 weeks to get the confidence up and be race fit.Ā Also Kyle being in 2 5'1s last week probably sealed it along with last night. Leicester are ok as they can carry him for a bit without it affecting them too much. Different for us, i dont think we have the time to give him unfortunately.Ā
Steve Shovlar
Feel sorry for Dan but we canāt have two passengers. Hope he gets fixed up in a Championship team elsewhere. Scunthorpe certainly need strengthening. Kyle has been brilliant this season and never deserved to be dropped for a rider who hasnāt shown that he could do better. Sure Kyle will have bad meetings but all second strings do. If he just manages to keep up what he is doing everyone will be happy. Bowes does need to start showing some improvement in his form. Thereās always pressure riding for Poole and he has to show why Matt Ford signed him. Ā

I am confident we will win the battle of the reserves, Jody Scott has been impressive and goes well at Poole but Cooper has outperformed him for Kings Lynn so it should be a good tussle. CanĢ really only see a Poole victory , it would need a big upsurge in form from Jordon Jenkins and (possibly JĢason Eưwards) for Redcar to get more thanĢ 40 points

Gilkes is unlucky and hopefully he gets a chance as a pirate soon.Ā Ā As for Bowes heās on borrowed time now, as soon as his avg gets close to officially being less 5.0 then I think Poole should look abroad for a replacement. Hopefully he turns his fortunes aroundĀ

A battle of reserves should be close. But I think the pirates have too much fire power in the 1/3/5 positions. And Lawson and Zach in H13/15 will be too strong for Klindt and Co to live with. Lawson might be unbeatable again
Gavan
Poole fans trying to downplay their chances as usual itās just comicalĀ Barrmg the number 4 position each rider in the Poole team should outscore their opponentĀ Poole by a minimum of 10 pointsĀ

If I would have known how bad the track was o might have guessed about Klindt
Steve Shovlar
Take a bow Nikolai Klindt. Impervious. Ā Never led. Had the perfect setup, rocket launched from the tapes and was away and gone.Ā Ā Track tonight suited him. Too slick, underwatered and perfect for a gater of his magnitude. Some good racing though. Our reserves were tremendous, and Kyle battled from the back. In contrast, other than Klindt Redcar were abject. Long journey back for their travelling fans.

It was ok going to meetings with Doyle and Emil but Iāve only been to the opening meeting and the track at Ipswich is worse than everĀ Ok fair enough. It was very dry tonight, not sure why they couldn't have prepped it like last week. With regards to Ipswich, didn't really mean about the track as last meeting i would have seen there was prob covered by sky sports! So have no idea how good/bad it is. One thing that doesn't change though is Ace's attitude. I won't say too much because he is still a teenager. But feel like it is holding him back a bit. All this revenge talk because he doesn't like being passed is a bit ott.Ā Edited May 6 by LisaColette
