Absolutely right!  And of course, risking a smaller crowd.

But that's one of the issues re zero jeopardy and consequence right across all facets of the sport...

Given we are down mainly to die hard regulars, you don't massively lose punter numbers by running later in the season, and, similarly, you don't massively increase your punter numbers by being "successful"...

Hence, it really is "Groundhog Day" every season...

In last weeks Speedway Star, in the part where it goes back in time to show the headlines of the day, it had (10 years ago), a promoter saying he would close down if he couldn't sign a particular rider he wanted to bring in....

And in the 20 years ago section, it had a promoter complaining that a rival had signed a rider using an average that shouldn't have been used....

"They say we're young, and we don't know"...:D

I am old enough to remember a promoter in the late 80s or maybe very eary 90s who threatened to pull the plug cos his proopsed team was 'just' over the points limit!

Sonny and Cher playing before every race...:D

Couldn't have that at Kings Lynn

If its Sonny its a compulsory 20 minute break and Buster does 30 laps on his tractor

Cooper has posted on his facebook he wasn’t available on Monday as he didn’t get signed off medically from his Oxford crash. 7 day automatic suspension.

but obviously nothing at all to do with the needless and early rain off whatsoever

Clearly they didn't want to get bashed and smashed by us! On a serious note the sport has feck all credibility left. Surely and yes I know it's not always accurate but presumably the Met Office will provide a much more accurate forecast for certain organisations. I'll wager a penny that fixtures will still be going on after the play off dates!

Should be awarding points for rain -off. Riders will tow the line if the meeting is not re-run and they are losing income.

If you believe that you'd be way off. That mentality would see the end of British Speedway.

We've to many rider's earning abroad & using British Speedway as top-up.

That’s what they are doing just now, except a good few are finding out that they are not up to standard and are not being used so not earning real money.

Awarding points for a rain off? What a ridiculous comment 🙈 Lynn couldn’t help the forecast, the forecast was dreadful for Monday… I don’t understand how the weather experts at the met office etc. got it so wrong
