Maybe you can't double up in the championship if your average is over 5.00 in the premiership. Also, changing the fixed race nights to add in Wednesday as we no longer have to worry about top riders also riding in Sweden/Denmark leagues. Poole should never be forced into the Premiership. We should have a system where it is attractive to be in the top league (like every other team sport!). If Poole think they will have Will Cairns at number 1 next season with a bunch of national league riders at reserve maybe they will move up so they can have a Jack Holder in the team. If the 2 leagues remain close there is no benefit of moving up. Poole continue to make money, get to the playoffs and have fruitful meetings at the end of the season in the championship while charging the fans £5 less. The Premiership is a risk with no reward at the moment. The top riders all ride in the top 2 divisions of Poland and will not give up that money so they will have to choose England or Denmark. The only fixture clashes will be for lesser riders(riders who don't ride in the top 2 divisions in Poland) so Poole would probably have less absentee riders if they move up than staying in the Championship. A decent six figure TV paynent, per team, for the top tier would encourage movement I suggest, as would being allowed to use Wednesdays... I don't think too many riders will ride over here and Denmark, therefore there shouldn't be too many clashes.. I presume the Championship is being set up to be a league for "the hobbyists" and the top tier seen as the league of "the professionals"...
Neila
But any Danish riders are gonna choose Denmark on a Wednesday as a lot of their sponsors are Danish so need the exposure in their home country before Poole on a Wednesday nite

Not sure if that still exists... Regardless, it's an ideal time for Poole if they ever wanted to go back into tier one given so few UK and Aussie riders will be riding in Denmark if they have Polish contracts... Well over a dozen Aussies currently over here, with many having residency visas, who also ride in Poland, therefore Poland could have very much helped the UK if they do bring in the one other league only rule .. Even a 7 team top tier would bring a minimum 26 meetings with KO Cup. Whereas in both Sweden and Denmark the minimum is 14 meetings... Bribed 🤫 Im really not sure thats going to happen, i would say every club in the so called top league are losing week on week, why would Matt want to give up stabillity to start pouring money down the drain ? imo it would take something substantial in league structure and financial stabillity for Matt to fidget on his seat.

Added to that, reading Chairman Rob's comments in the Pairs programme from Wednesday, All current Championship clubs are committed to continuing in the 'robust and stable' Championship for 2027.

It's hardly robust and stable Workington had to be bailed out last season and have struggled this year. Also if there's a TV deal in place and a nice cash incentive to join the top league teams will be tempted imo.
