The side this season on paper looked decent , I hear what your saying about the club but Buster is getting on and has previously said he won't risk his retirement monies equally given the silence from the club it doesn't seem there's a que of people knocking on the door to take over from him either.

Lynn are probably the Scunthorpe of the top league team built to a budget but given nobody seems to want to take the team on its probably either accept that or the team closes down.

Then does Buster actually care about Kings Lynn as a speedway club or does he only care about his own interests?

Forget rivalries aside, Kings Lynn are a fine Speedway Club. They’ve always been a big part of top flight speedway going back to the Terry Betts and Michael Lee days, had some of the best riders in world speedway. The fact they’ve never celebrated a top flight title isn’t right really. They’ve a loyal fan base and they deserve their spot in the sun. Until change happens, I doubt that will come unfortunately for them.

I would say both to different degrees he said a few years back he wouldn't subsidise the stars to the levels he had previously , he thought Brady would be the man to hand the club off to but we know that didn't work out, equally I don't think he wants to see the club fold even if it made his life easier but he's not going to go all in on a knockout team in his late sixties and risk losing his retirement pot.

I'd be very sad to see Cooper and Jody up and leave Kings Lynn.  One way to keep your fans is to keep riders who connect with the local fanbase.  If they could possibly work it to get Rob Lambert back - and perhaps make some changes at the management level, then maybe the locals will stick with the team and come and out and support in greater numbers? I hate the constant churn of riders. I mean I feel no connection to Max Fricke, he's simply the newest hired gun. TBH every rider in the League pretty much moves and rides for a new team every couple of years, you don't get many riders who stay at one club that long, anymore. It's musical chairs. Sadly.

There's the crux, as that's not quite true. Winning, consistent sides tend to manage to hold on to their main guys.

At King's Lynn, they consistently hold on to year on year, even bad rider's for too long.

There's actually quite a lot of consistency in teams, it just doesn't feel like it when you're turning up to meetings and getting whipped, especially at home.

If things continue as is at King's Lynn, you can guarantee it's the same ol' 'last pick' faces again in 2027.

To be fair I think quite a few fans thought this years team looked good, I doubt manh thought they were last pick faces. Ipswich look more like last pick faces.

Nothing wrong with the team that was picked, just the way it performed. Could maybe question the Paco/Jenkins signings as they never worked out but the team failed because Fricke's average dropped alarmingly and he never looked comfortable at Lynn, and because Cook & Kvech failed to kick on.

The promotion need to find out why those things happened.

Rushen needs to leave King's Lynn for sure as the Club is cursed imo.

They're the Tottenham FC of Speedway and I'm a Spurs fan so I would know lol.

Doesn't matter what King's Lynn do in regards to signings because nothing ever sticks and the season's will always play out the same way as the year before.

Playing devils advocate if Poole and Glasgow were to join the premiership with their budget and ambition combined with Northamptons successful season crowd wise. Would those three clubs be ahead of Lynn in attracting riders ?

The bigger issue is given Northampton was on the leftovers this year if two more teams come up and we can't get 5-7 other top liners back over what happens then ? this is also assuming Jack Holder recovers from what looks like a really bad injury if he doesn't then another top liner is needed to replace him also.
