I can only imagine there is as their press releases earlier in the season weren’t very promising, and I’m sure I read in speedway star an interview with the Edinburgh promotor and he said something like all champ teams want to stay in champs but there is looking like there will be an extra team in the prem ? Not sure where this new team is coming from

After the farcical situation British Speedway was in at the start of the season , it was said that there would be a meeting mid season to determine the strategy for next year with the likely rider shortage created by possible Polish legislation. All I have read in the Speedway Star is that most Championship teams are happy and not looking to move into the Premiership. The silence seems to suggest they are all waiting for Poland Speedway to determine what they are planning as regulations and go from there.

I agree, The luxury is over for Glasgow and Poole as they've now got a choice of PREM racing or being asset stripped.

The Polish rule is a blessing in disguise for the PREM Clubs and the Swedish Clubs have done Britain another favour with the tyre fiasco.

Been a terrible League this year but next year has the potential to be the best British League we've had in a while.

British speedway has been rather lucky with the Swedish tyre rule, new Polish ruling and Mayfield at Ipswich simultaneously.

If we get a higher level of riders it will initially increase the crowd numbers. We need to maintain those numbers!

So, the presentation needs to be much improved. We need better introductions to the meetings and more interest in the grading breaks to keep people coming back.

Discussions with Plymouth and Poole who have increased their attendances recently would be useful. Student/young person pricing, better social media or generally local advertisement. 

This could be great for British speedway but we need good advertisement and presentation to go with it!

Belle Vue have a student price that our group make use of. For me, partner (2 adults) daughter & boyfriend (both students) plus my partners two grandkids and three mates (15y x 2 & 11y x 3), it cost less than £90 for the nine of us to watch at the NSS, I’m happy with that.

Heard any rumours?

Am I going mad (or have a reached a certain age) or do I remember that a Promoter said that they hoped to get 2027 rules and regs sorted out in the summer this year so they could plan and sign riders earlier to provide riders, promoters and fans with security regarding the next season......

I absolutely agree that the prices at belle Vue are good. I just think this needs to be reflected at other venues. When you turn 18 at Sheffield you go from paying £5 to £25. Students also only get a £2 discount there. I just think we're losing lots of younger fans from ages 18-25.

Only rumour I heard was Mildenhall to Prem with Mr Brady in charge. 🤷‍♂️. Pure rumour & 2+2 probably making 5

I hope the big boys in the PREM remember what happened last winter when the CHAMP Clubs got too big for their boots.

Time for some sweet revenge this winter.

CHAMP won't even have riders like Leon Flint and Dan Thompson in it let alone Josh Pickering and Zach Cook.

In what way did Championship clubs get to big for their boots? Why would 2027 come back & bite them?

Have you told Dan T this as he said he is going to do Prem and Champ next season as just doing Poland and one other league is not enough racing.

Would need massive investment to do that surely ? They can’t even get a licence to run NDL because of how dangerous the fence is

Refusal to put British Speedway first for start.

Roles will be reversed from last winter, PREM Clubs will be the one's holding all the cards now to a point where CHAMP Clubs are the ones with a lot to lose.

CHAMP is finished now, Heat Leaders will be offski with the Polish ruling and to make matters even worse for them, Kildemand and Nicholls are retiring as well.
