Hope you enjoy the racing, Kevin and Jan are going up. Come on the Pirates. A close safe meeting is what we want.

The starts are mad too. Itโs like the bikes pull the riders towards the first bend, with gates one or two inevitably hitting the front. Gate four has no chance. Is that just me? This isnโt a criticism; I enjoy meetings at Scunthorpe. Plenty of actions.

The guy off Gate 4 especially early on in the meeting usually to about Heat 7 whoever they were would win off gate 4 it used to be a massive advantage. scunny1 Posted yesterday at 03:38 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:38 PM Last match Scorpions v Tigers. 2 winnersย from gate1, 5 winners from gate2, 4 winners from gate 3 and 3 winners from gate4. Don't know what gate positions were in heat 15, but all in all there is a spread of wins across all gates.

old bob at herne bay Posted yesterday at 04:28 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 04:28 PM Scunny will do well to record a win at home. They will be well beaten at Wimborne Road.ย once again pole got the 2 best youngsters in British speedway. No brainer that both billy cairns and coop rushden-racing would score well above their assessed averages.ย ย With the veterans ย Lawson and Kerr and new Aussie kid cook really should have cleaned up ALL ย the trophies .ย They messed up in the kocup, pairs . should add the poff trophy, before their team split up heading for Poland in 2027 ย

Itโs a bit of a fallacy that the Poole track doesnโt provide passing. The problem is Poole as a team are normally far too good at home for the opposition. ย Pirates gate and not many opposition riders can pass them. There are exceptions. Pickering, Masters and Charles Wright have proved itโs possible to come from the back but lesser riders just donโt have the pace or ability. ย

Steve Shovlar
The weather for tomorrow is going to be dry. Any rain about is going to be to the west of the country so safe for Pirate fans to travel the 5 hours north. As itโs on a Friday we are aiming to leave Poole about 11am to have a stop on the way up and get there in plenty of time. Last time I went to Scunthorpe was a horrible wet night and we were well beaten. Hoping it will be a good meeting with plenty of great racing with both teams giving their all. Pirates to a rider will need to be right up for it and I am sure they will be. Really looking forward to it. Up the Pirates!
