Of course it matters, refereeing has been shocking in this country for years now and it’s getting worse, an investigation needs to happen into the standard of refereeing. This is just the tip of the iceberg and has robbed the rightful winners of a league title

Well that will not happen. The photo on Scunthorpe's own website does not show it was conclusively the wrong decision. The referee has to make a snap decision based on the evidence in front of him, in his view he made the correct decision. He is not going to a spend a lot  of time scrutinising his decision and I do not know any referee who has changed a decision once made and it does not matter how many times the manager gets on the phone.

They can't even get the correct use of the apostrophe.

From the Edinburgh website:

"Yet another change has been forced upon the Monarchs for our final Scottish Cup meeting on Friday as Michael Palm Toft, after riding well in Scunthorpe's brave Playoff Final performance, suffered an injury following the Superheat"

Elsewhere on the same website:
"....replacing the previously announced Michael Palm Toft, who was involved in a post-race incident after Scunthorpe's contentious Super Heat loss in the Championship play-off final at Poole last night"

Anyone know what happened to MPT?

He came round for lap of honour like Josh did and after they eventually got their medals saw him walking back to changing rooms. I remember, as Poole fans appauded him when he was on his way there. Looked fine to me.

Well the ref changed his mind when Bowes won his race and overturned the result because of tyre warming, that was proved after the heat...my gripe is last week when Cairns admitted tyre warming and the ref refusing to use replays, its the grand final ffs,

And then the ref looked at it later on and apologised to Howe for making a mistake. I don't understand why they don't use replays, only takes a min.

His mistake was not watching them line up, he should of used Bsn to see the plume of smoke coming from his tyre, as i said its the Grand final he should use all available outlets to him, not refusing to view the evidence

According to the regulations

'where provided the Referee must use multi angle re-play
technology supplied by Eurosport, BSN and the tracks own
streaming service via a monitor'

I’m going to be as plain as I can be and try to be as unbiased as possible

rule 012.1.11

a ride whose machine crosses the inner edge of the track with 2 wheels must be disqualified.

05.1.4 infield

a) a continuous line to define the inner edge of the track circuit.

now nowhere in the rule book does it say about crossing the white line with 100% of the wheel, ok that’s fact

also the white line is the infield (as confirmed by the SCB )so if at any point the rear tyre touches it then that is a disqualification.

the inner edge of the track is where the track meets the white line, so anyone who has stated he was on the line has backed my argument.
