A relief the 2026 season is coming to a close. Its been a difficult year but it’s done it’s job.

Lets not have another winter like the last one. However many teams are assembled, get it rubber-stamped in November. Let all clubs build their teams fairly and on an equal footing to give the league some integrity, get the fixture list published in the new year at the latest, and let clubs get their season tickets out on sale in good time.

Lets all hope also that Richard Coleman has managed to get the old farts to at least implement some kind of change to start the green shoots of recovery.

How utterly boring, last winter was far more interesting than the actual season which is about to conclude 🥹.

Putting fans of clubs through torture should be an essential ingredient of the sport, after all what will there be to talk about for 4 months if everything's cut and dried by end of November?

Very noticeable on his interview with Speedway 360 that Coleman was blunt enough to dismiss Speedway Futures LTD and what they have brought to the party

Well we did get Linda in the travel lodge room with the used McDonalds bag pulling out team names other than that as far as I'm aware errrr nothing.

And I bet they used somebody else's room while they were out🫢

You BV posters keep trying to make out that speedway is a serious sport, especially "tier 1".

Those days are long gone and have been for years.

Gone but not forgotten.
Fortunately there is a new breed of promoter who recognises the opportunity and the “how” to stop and reverse the current death spiral the sport is in.
As in business the solution resides in an approach based on running a profitable enterprise not an affordable hobby.
Big changes required, quite a few feathers to be ruffled and quite a few home truths to be learned.
I hope it happens.

Oxford won't be in the top league in 2027. It will be Championship, with first signings announced on Friday 16th October.

If true makes a TV deal less likely unless they've got Glasgow interested.

It makes sense for them though they need to have successful seasons in the championship before they move up again.
