Any news on championship points limit Bojangles ?

I don't know the actual points limit, but from what I've heard the Championship will be the same nine teams as 2026 - with the points limit already agreed upon. Not from a direct source though, so don't quote me!

I’ve heard that too, same 9 teams in the championship. (Providing Plymouth raise their funds for a new air fence)

With regards to new teams, there are still some aspiring to run Eastbourne in the top league next season

if eastbourne comes to tapes it just makes so much more sense to have two leagues of eight.

It's a massive expense which doesn't make much sense to me in terms of safety - should be more like an MOT and see if the current barrier provides the cushioning it should then fine to carry on using it.  It'd still be much better than the hard foam type fence they have at King's Lynn which I can't see provides much better than the old wire mesh type fences.

Interesting rumour that Poland will mandate air jackets for riders maybe the year after next, if not next year.  Another expense for clubs that they can do without because you can be sure riders won't pay for them.

Are Eastbourne being taken over by a Millionaire who has money to lose.🤔

Call Tolley, would be a massive risk if they went straight back in the top league given struggles to make championship pay last time round, really hope they come to the tapes and it proves financially viable but would be a lot less risk for the would be promoters if they went into the championship.

It was Ian Jordan that wrecked Eastbourne speedway, He had riders on stupid guarantees, Chris Louis told me Richard Lawson was on more money at championship level for Eastbourne than he was for Prem Ipswich.

The sport may be sustainable at Arlington but at prom level, doubt it myself.

Currently trying to work out how there will be anymore than 6 teams in the premiership next season! Seemingly Oxford, Poole and Glasgow are not interested in moving up, Eastbourne going straight into the premiership seems a big stretch. Where else are these new teams coming from?

Is there enough top riders to have more then 6 teams? Even the British World Champion doesn't ride in the UK, and hasn't done (except late season injury cover) for years.

It would be good to see more teams, but the sport needs to find a way to tempt top talent back to the UK to staff them.

To be fair if the Swedish tyre deal means Polish riders (and Lambert) no longer want to ride in Sweden they could look to the UK instead. If we have much fewer teams they might look to Denmark instead as it will be deemed more competitive despite them having fewer fixtures.

Also, Grand Prix will be in Ipswich next year and Richard Coleman has said he intends to continue grand prixs at Belle Vue in future years. If you are a GP rider getting more practice on UK tracks might be very beneficial as Sweden has no GP next year.
