You can 'Fanny' around with the price as much as you want, price has a factor, yes, but the main reason for the lack of attendance is the product itself. When die hard's are leaving in their droves, you cannot continue to say the fans are wrong, time to listen to their opinions.

With posts like this I suggest you just stick to your intellectual level of Love Island.

Part of the problem is that the NL was forced to accept a much lower points limit this season. Its a massive jump from the NL to the Championship and that meant that riders who would have benefitted from competing in both leagues could not. Word I got was that one NL side definitely wanted Bowtell for 2019 but he effectively ruled himself out. As such, its his own fault he doesn't have an NL place. Question is - and despite Jon Cook's ridiculous views - should he be riding Championship ? He's averaging 2.64 according to the latest green sheets and that's hardly persuasive. I don't think Bowtell is a dirty rider either but he can be reckless. Reckless isn't dirty, but it can have very much the same result.

To make the regional league system work if 14 teams were racing you could have two 7 team divisions (North and South). Teams could race teams in their own division home and away twice and those in the other division home and away once. That would give 18 home/18 away meetings. The top three in each division could then go forward to the league finals meeting each of the other five teams home and away before the top two teams meet in the League Finals. The points from all meetings up to that point would be added together to decide the top two meaning being top of your division would be worthwhile. The 8 teams who were not in the finals could be split into two groups of four (3 meetings at home and 3 away) with the top from each group meeting for the National Trophy. All this gives a full fixture list of meetings that all mean something with no need for any filler competitions and a mixture of local derbies plus the interest of having teams from afar visiting.

Just like a speedway meeting. We get a crash, the medic takes the patient away to fix up. and the customers are just kept hanging around in limbo.

Thunderstorms in eastern Scotland today, as we all know Scotland is higher then north east England, so putting 2 and 2 together all the wet stuff dropped today will flow downhill to our area, therefore in the interests of safety for riders and spectators, can we call the fixture off early. PLEASE.

He is also never tailed off even when he doesn't score which is promising. If we got a reserve alongside him who can score 5-6 points a meeting then the pressure will be off him a bit and I'm sure he will score better.

People like this person where? They are not an Ipswich fan. They are supposed to be a reading and Swindon and Peterborough fan. Its Zagar racing with yet another profile

I don't know , I only know of one person who was told not to come back , and that was about 4 years ago . But then you're more of an expert of events at Glasgow than any of us are

I think Tatum summed the track up perfectly when he said he cant remember another track using the clay based topping that gives so much grip . This track is unique in the grip it has. That alone is what saddlebow road has become. over the past few years it has got progressively worse. The racing on the other hand has all but gone. We go there now knowing we will only see processional races with most positional changes done by the start of the back straight. its little wonder the spectacle has all but died. Give me the old track any day... I understand the arguments of the starting procedure, but I don't openly agree with them. I preferred it when starting was a lottery and any of the 4 riders could make a getaway. it created more and better racing, But such is the importance of the start now, when riders of the calibre of Robert Lambert cant recover from a bad gate, it is essential the good riders make them starts. No doubt that's the reason the gate area is made more grippier than the rest. Yes it was a good win against the old enemy, some riders performed very well. But it was not a good meeting. If we couldn't beat the depleted side that Poole put out, then would have been pretty poor....

Wow! Some of your fans slated Redcar for sacking Østergaard after a few matches and then you dump a rider after even less matches! The wages you appear to have saved on staff have gone on " too expensive" Østergaard, so yet another ex Bear becomes a diamond. He will do you a good job tho as he's still got plenty of points left in him. Got to feel sorry for Bukhave getting the boot when there is a worse rider in the team.

Its a pity you can't wipe your arse with faceache , the sun on the other hand is very useful at that.

Surely Redcar knew Riss would miss this meeting but needed him in for the KO cup win at Glasgow

Folk hoping we get beat isn't vindictiveness, everyone is entitled to support whoever they want . And if folk hate us because they think we're some sort of moneybags club , then that's fine too, I've no issue with that . It won't stop me enjoying going to watch the Tigers home and away .

Rubbish track... gate and go stuff just like when Ipswich went there. How many passes were there tonight? When Lambert and Cook can't pass when behind there is the proof that something is wrong. Couldn't pay to watch that every week.

A good viewing, enjoyed it, have to say the "classic" jacket was miles better than some of the over fussy jackets from late 70s onwards.

    But where's the official thread?

The track last night was very bad. Skilled experienced riders being extremely tentative is not right. It was badly prepared. Polish tracks of similar size are not prepared in such a way. They are produced to present the best opportunity for the best riders in the world to showcase their ability. Kings Lynn last night was prepared in such a way to cause two riders to retire from the meeting. It then caught out one of Britain’s best riders in Cook who lost control and fell, then Klindt who was extremely lucky to not get clouted on a dangerous first bend when his wheel lost its traction. It’s clear that Lynns track produces crap racing. Their fans have been bleating about it for a long time now. Clearly last night showed why racing is so poor. Chapman needs to get rid of the ridiculous grip and get it slicked off to produce racing the fans want to see. Stox wouldn’t notice a thing.

The draw was a fair result on a slick and dusty track. Getting the pre meeting parade done early is working a treat, and gives a head start in case of any unforseen circumstances.
