  1. Past hour
  2. Flog the promotion to some new fool seems to be the usual answer.
  3. I'm not saying he's going to single handedly revive the SGP series, but it's currently at its lowest ever ebb and there's not a single rider in the series they can hang their promotional hat on... Dan Bewley, as good as he is, is all a bit nicey nicey when interviewed, Robert Lambert a bit boring and neither have an individual World Championship to their name... and you can forget the rest although Jack Holder does seem to have something about him. There's only 3 World Champions in the 2026 series and 2 of them are wild cards and the other one can't speak English... I mean what do you do with that as a promoter?
  4. Torun would deffo not have a say on whether he rides or not, any rider can choose any league they want, it’s purely down to Emil and how it’s a lot easier to get to Scandinavia from Poland than it is to fly to UK or if he can get another visa.
  5. Good summary mate , can't believe how Redcar turned into garbage when it mattered. Made Poole look massively better than they had been. Poole just stepped it up when it was needed.
  6. Just a few weeks ago it was looking like being a great season for Redcar on form, being in all three finals a real possibly, and dreams of doing the Treble. But in sport momentum and handling pressure are key to success. Redcar buckled and Poole grew stronger, making Glasgow's task even harder now. Pretty sure the remaining finals will both be Poole vs Glasgow.
  7. mmmm. Tai in the SGP. Will be the answer. This time if never before. How foolish I am.
  8. Take a few pictures of the Ipswich crowd on Thursday to the next council meeting. That proves that speedway does still have a following & isn’t dead.
  9. I’m not sure the work visa would be the issue as far as Emil is concerned. I think it’s more to do with if Emil wants to do it again and/or Torun position on it.

  11. Speaking as a neutral with a somewhat 'helicopter view' of the sport (tho I cheered out loud when Dan won SGP rounds & GB won the SONs), I'm pleased for Chris Louis & all at Ipswich. They obv did a lot of promotion down Foxhall way going by the huge crowd, hearing rock music played on the PA (did anyone else notice Rock & Roll All Nite by Kiss ?)+ the flame pots on the centre green, the meeting looked an occasion where one would say "I wish I'da bin there". That's how it's done, good stuff....
  12. Why do you say that? SGP has/is a brand, GB Speedway Team is a brand... and pretty much nobody outside of the sport are aware of them.
  13. Just heading back to home after great Poole win. On our previous visits, the home fans have been very good. However the unsportsmanlike booing every time our super dane came to track after the racing incident was totally out of keeping. Hope this was just a one off. See you all next year. Kevin and Jan. ☠️
  14. Today
  15. Although it’s potentially the weakest I’d say it has the option to be the most competitive because it’s more evenly spread. you know why… British speedway is taking over 😉 all this big money coming in 😂 sorry I just woke up from my dream!
  16. Wroclaw, Lublin and Torun in the plays offs, not which of the other 3 teams will make the last play off spot.
  17. Honestly. That is a right load of codswallop when talking about Speedway.
  18. Looks like all the rumours are correct, Fair to say it's the weakest looking Ekstraliga in years with various riders opting to drop down a league. Czestochowa's relegation is a 1 Million percent certainty in 2026 and Gorzow are a certainty to compete in the Promotion / Relegation play-off again.
  19. Just like Redcar last night! If its so obvious you'ld think most teams and riders would get their machinery set ups right!?

  21. Going by the highlighted comments, at least you’re admitting how the Poole track rides……lol
