He was definitely the “back up” option for the league to continue with a five team league. Desperate times call for desperate measures! As above. He wouldn’t normally have gone near it. In his own words when he “agreed” to buy Ipswich last time.. ”I don’t like Ipswich” Great sales pitch that was to the Ipswich fans when the news broke on the official website 🙄 Hopefully it’s someone else. Merry Christmas.

Not sure Kings Lynn can claim to have done much in helping young british riders unless you feel a couple of national trophy meetings is a massive help.

In my opinion they were both brilliant natural talents and great to watch on a bike, a similar argument would be when I was still going Lynn signed Henka I think the same year Ippo possibly got T Rick now for two seasons I thought Henka was a better more talented rider than Tony but as mentioned i stopped going in 1992 and past that point Tony ended up being a six time world champion. Henka is probably the most naturally talented rider i ever saw on a bike but possibly similar to Screeny he just didn't have that last 10% dedication to make it to the very top of the pile despite both having masses of natural talent. One interview that always resonated with me was Sam Ermolenko saying "I feel I have reached that level now when the pressure is really on i can beat anyone" and a week later I remember him lining up against Hans Nielson possibly a world team cup event at coventry and that might have been the year when Han's only dropped six or so points all season , Sam trapped and although Han's was faster he had the calm head and track craft to keep the Main Dane behind him. Apologies if these years/stats are slightly out as I say i'm going back a long time ago but they were great times how like most of us I would dearly love to travel back in time and be there again.

Just calm down and take your medication, Mike. Nurse! Nurse!

I think your right again from memory Hackney were backed by Terry Russell they were destroying the old second division they looked to move up and got no help from anyone (sounds familiar) other than getting Simmo , they got smashed for a season then dropped back down taking Simmo with them . They had Andy Galvin at the time who was second division top gun but he had a bad injury a few years later that pretty much put paid to his chances of progressing further. I'm 56 now and would have been 17 or 18 at the time so having to trawl the memory banks so I could be 50% off with the above.

Kings Lynn too (already mentioned). Poole have done virtually nothing in helping young british riders over the years.
-
I think in the perfect world he would like to offload the Stars and focus on just stocks I would be stunned if its him.

Could be one last, final case for "We Buy Any Speedway Club.com"
- Today

That’s some welcome good news. Do you think so? I thought he was happy with just Lynn and didn’t want the additional hassle of another team.
-
Apart from Plymouth on Tuesdays, Birmingham raced on Mondays, plus Sheffield raced on a Monday & Wednesday.

Gonna be Buster isn’t it..

He didn’t take the because he would have failed would have been his answer, if he was asked to explain.

Nora doesn’t have a format for any meetings, it is only really the same as acu, it has no say in how a meeting is run, it’s basically a licence and insurance company, they are cheaper and some would say less complicated than the ACU and you find more and more disciplines are turning to Nora because of the incompetence and the price of the ACU

Zach's last Speedway meeting was in September 2018. He apparently stepped away from the sport citing reasons of confidence on the bike. He is 27 now and did become World Long Track Champion in 2025. Could he be fancying a return after 7 years ? and what would be his assessed average ?. More questions than answers.

We've needed that for a few years now.

Maybe there'll be an announcement tomorrow christmas pressie for supporters

Could still be the "Mother" of all 4 Team Tournaments ahead then? 12 meetings at home for each of the four teams.. Five riders per team, which includes a reserve.. With, to add variety, the teams change helmet colours meeting by meeting.. ie, over the first segment of four matches, the home teams start with Red, but by their fourth meeting at home, they are riding in Yellow, having gone through Blue and White in the second and third matches at their track... This means every team has equal gate positions over a 48 match season.. Sounds exciting I know, but, even better than that. The top four qualify for a Final held at every track... With the top team over the season starting the final with three points, second two and third with one.. (Otherwise all the Qualifiers could be seen as meaningless if no reward for finishing top, and we wouldn't want that would we?) Sounds good doesn't it? Loads of meeting for riders... Loads of exciting helmet colour changes for the fans to follow.. Three lots of away fans at each venue (maybe even double figure numbers attending from at least one of them), and possibly a taxi full from the other two tracks, (not a seven seater one obviously).. And, (and this is the winner for me), you can flog "Quarter n Quarter n Quarter n Quarter" scarves, so lots of merchandising opportunities.. Charge around thirty quid a ticket, running on those hotbed of entertainment nights of Monday and Thursday, plus, (most importantly of all of course, riders can still then double up), and, I think we can all agree, the sport would be on to a winning formula... Maybe they could get a betting company involved to sponsor the league and, every meeting, they could run a book on "Who will Bomber ride for tonight?".. It could be a bit like the Masked Singer, whereby he stands on the centre green in a Wulf Sport Jacket, and the crowd shout "Take It Off! Take It Off'!, and as the crowd reach fever pitch he unzips the jacket to reveal his kevlars... Imagine the scenes?..... Making Speedway Great Again.. Ho! Ho! Ho! Happy Christmas All... It’s a time for miracles so lets hope those in charge can come up with one now, and a few more over the next few seasons..

Which is a pity as they would be most welcome in the third tier.

I was just thinking the same and say it quietly he rode for yes the team with the poor track before the Ford's were about.
-
You also said 'they all race at weekends' when Lynn also rode in midweek (stadium point accepted).

Still got a tag on so got to be home sooner, but gypsy caravan could be anywhere 😄
