That’s just what I thought.

Needs someone overseeing the sport, a lot of the tracks thus far have been prepared very poorly with dust flying after just the first race, dust flying around is not healthy for anyone even if the racing is still good. I will say though as much as I dislike the track (2 metres on the straights width and 3/4 on the bends would soon change that) Plymouth at least made an effort to get water into the track and keep it there.

Seems not - from the Stars website preview "Castagna thankfully avoided any broken bones but he did receive heavy bruising and an ankle injury which rules him out of action." - Today

Exactly, but some seem to think because the word development was added to the name all the better/older riders shouldn't be in it. I am all for a harder league a younger riders beats a Morley/ jody scott consistently there at least around a level to move up instead of 15 maximums with no competition and chucked in cl to early surely thats better for development.

Been asked to post this by Greg Blair Hello everyone, Greg Blair here I’ve not got an account on this forum as I don’t usually come on this page but it’s been brought to my attention I’ve been getting some heat on it, just want to clear this up. I didn’t go up to the box to show the ref any footage, I’m often up in the box changing batteries or getting coffee and sometimes just making sure everything is running well, Steve the announcer is a good friend of mine and I went up when I heard the ref was away to view the footage in the commentary box just to ask him what was going on so I could relay any info I had. All in all I had no influence on what the ref did, I’ve seen decisions reversed before so it wasn’t anything new! Of course I’m going to get comments about my performances at Berwick or on BSN and it even made me laugh that this person said I wasn’t a very good rider. Hey I had a go and I loved racing bikes (not being very good at it) I love what I do in speedway, I’m happy to entertain and get a laugh but honestly if you want to have a go I welcome you to try it. Things happen in the moment, I’m passionate about my sport and Berwick speedway which I hold very close to my heart, I won’t say sorry for my passion! The only time I’ll ever say sorry is if I offend someone and in this case I haven’t so I’m blowing everyone who dislikes me kisses and the ones who do support me you’re getting bigger kisses! Enjoy your speedway folks x PS if you want to come and chat to me in person you can usually find me in the black and gold ... that's if you’re comfortable having a dig at me without hiding behind the username -

Concussion protocols ??? -
More likely to be as at Kings Lynn and Scunthorpe, where the speedway fence rests against the stock car fence, and is higher than the steel posts and wire, and then with a polyfoam fence attached to that on the bends

Weren't the "foam hats" one of the reasons Mildenhall failed the SCB inspection and went off down the Nora route?

Rider insurance (or lack thereof)

Because they have done nothing wrong. This was an initiative by certain BSPL officials to try to save costs. And boy, has it backfired -

Another grumble the sound system at Berwick needs sorting out, I was stood at the end of the stand just before the 3rd bend and got a mixture of speaker from the stand and the speakers on the centre green, but seemed a second or 2 delay between them it was all of a mumble, maybe a good job as I couldn't here Greg properly 😜. And yes yesterday the sound at worky was a bit loud but at least you could here it -

Whilst I empathise, I don't understand how he can absolve the SCB and ACU from any 'blame' and then blame it solely on the BSPL? -

Personally im happy to have a better level of rider on show and to act as a benchmark for aspiring riders. The dilution of the NL over the previous few years has led to riders being forced up into the CL without any confidence building meetings and also riders signed into the CL who are far from ready. Id rather see competent riders showing the way than hopeful riders. -

I would be very surprised if anybody has ridden the track as yet ,si.ply because the steel posts aren't covered , I would imagine they will need a similar arrangement as mildenhall ,with a foam hat over them before anyone is allowed to ride the track

Should be banned then or will the old 'suffered a reaction' line be used - if it's still a valid excuse?
