  1. Past hour
  2. Can we expect to see more tears if Bowes is reading this?……lol
  3. Saddened to hear about the passing of your Dad. I didn't know him personally and often wondered he was because of his many posts. I certainly wondered what had happened to "Jenga' when his posts disappeared but soon came to realise he had reinvented himself as j20hh , the writing style was unmistakeable 😃. Sorry to see another Comets fan has gone to the speedway track in the sky and no doubt he will be keeping his eye on the forum !. You really must pay a visit he probably would have wanted you too. RIP 'Jenga'.
  4. Condolences to everyone affected by his passing. He certainly got folk commenting on here…..lol
  5. Berwick fresh from reaching their 2nd semi-final of the season, welcome Scunthorpe as they get their league campaign underway. For the Bandits already with injury problems they use R/R for Peter Kildemand with Dayle Wood guesting for Reid Battye. Scunthorpe have 1 change with Dan Gilkes brought in to replace Simon Lambert, who in the past has ranked Berwick as one of his favourite away tracks. Scunthorpe will be hoping Pickering continues his current form to keep score respectable. Prediction- With bonus points important in reaching a playoff position can see a 56-34 home win.
  6. Last week at worky your team could race on a great track unlike poole gate and go !
  7. Will looked fast last night and unfortunate to not get heat 15 after apparently blowing an engine after heat 14.
  8. Yes I picked up on that, and it might also be the case that they needed the extra points from Gilkes having a lower average than Lambert to make the next change so best not to judge until the next one is announced
  9. Meeting on may 13th now vs Poole in the KOC new date for Edinburgh match to be confirmed as and when.
  10. Their track is now "shocking" when once it suited "proper Speedway riders, not throttle jockeys".... Good to see Will Cairns' score last night, there does seem to be a bit of a "pile on" for the kid, now and again, from some, for some reason... As with all the young UK lads, just let them develop and see where they end up... The sport is desperate for more supply than demand so if these lads only reach tier two second string status they are playing their part....
  11. Crying! Big baby! Actually thought he rode well at Plymouth earlier in the season.
  12. Today
  13. You can find the Racecard abbreviations by downloading the 2026 SCB Regulations at: REGULATIONS / Downloads - Speedway Control Bureau Abbreviations are on Page 128.
  14. So far this season he has scored 26 from 23 rides. Think that equates to 4.52
  15. Never said it was. It seems some riders just get injured more than others.
  16. Latest Pride the East podcast which dissects the Stars' defeat in Suffolk amongst other stuff 🙂
  17. Sooner Jenkins is replaced the better very weak in the middle order especially away from home
  18. They also turn up in decent numbers so who has got it right .
  19. it has been said numerous times yes but the fans bury there head in the sand as long as they are winning (which they always do)
  20. Klindt was incredible last night, not even Lawson could get anywhere near him and once in front he pulled clear.
  21. Interesting adjustment in the averages to take effect from May 11th Scott's converted Championship average used for team building - 5.25 - reverts to a Premiershio rolling average and will be 6.43
  22. Hi all, I hope this is okay to post as a comment in here. I know many of you may have known my father as Jenga / j20hh. He sadly passed away recently after battling with various illnesses the last couple of months, but I know he was fairly active on here, and I thought it would be fitting to log into this account to announce it. I'm aware he was a bit of a marmite character on these forums, but he was on here exactly how he was in real life, a windup merchant with bad grammar. It's been fascinating to look back through his posts and comments, and more so the replies from other people. I can only apologise if he aggravated any of you with his comments, but know that they've brought a grieving son a great deal of joy, to have an online archive of my Dad just trying his best to wind people up over a sport he loved. Speedway and Workington Comets were a huge part of my Dad's life, and a huge part of my childhood, I'm sure I'll have to get down to Northside to honour his memory soon. If any of you happened to know him in real life, I'd be more than happy to pass on funeral details over a PM. Thanks
