  1. Past hour
  2. The irony of you calling me a muppet & thick with a post with 2 commas & then a capital letter after them is hilarious, even by your standards.
  3. While I agree with that, Redcar could argue they started with 1 top rider & 3 x 3rd heat leaders, but it obviously hasn't worked out. Besides Scunthorpe will make the play-offs with 1 heat leader, while Workington with a good top 3 will likely finish bottom. Last night, it was the reserves who let Redcar down, but that looks like the strongest part of the team!
  4. Even if it was the floodlights, would make no difference as the red lights and starting mechanisms need to be functional
  5. I'm not sure you can claim Kurtz as 'one of your own'. He had already been riding in the UK for 6 years, with 4 years in the top flight at Poole, topping their GSAs in his final year with them. Yes he has improved while he has been with Belle Vue but that would have happened with age and experience wherever he was riding. His improvement is not much different to Jack Holder who left Poole at the same to join Sheffield. Both have been loyal servants since then, but neither club can claim to have nurtured them to the extent that you may have done with some of the others.
  6. I think your first point of comparing youth and senior racing has already been covered. I actually agree with you on the 2nd point we actually have a good talent pool and we will lose some of them initially. In the long term though young riders will only go to Poland when they are confident they will start. This might not happen until they're 25 as Poland's U21 system (rising star) is ruthless riders are pulled from the team meeting to meeting. The transfer from U21 to senior is also really hard in Poland, only the top riders can do it and they often struggle for multiple seasons (miskowiak). Britain is a much better place to develop from 18-25 than Poland. Therefore Britain can instead build up its own talent pool with only the top few going to Poland.
  7. Today
  8. 10 to the pound more to go around
  9. I overloaded the circuit and it went with a bang
  10. Am sure the fight is their anyone can come to northside and have a good blast.
  11. These two statements would not seem to be consistent. I have mixed feelings about Bomber getting through. I really don't think he is GP standard and I'd hate to see him propping up the field next year.
  12. When my lad played for a League Two U21 Academy the first team had 4,000 there each week... Laying out £22 to get in... About 100 came to watch his U21 team play.. And it was free to get in... Watching Youth Racing and Senior racing is like comparing Apples to Oranges .. And, if that Youth Racing had took place on a Monday night, the crowd, (and participant) numbers would have been even less...
  13. Belle Vue tried that last weekend. Sunday afternoon, lovely weather, £15 for over 30 races and any number of kids free. The riders were all a similar standard with no top stars as like you say people don’t know their Bewleys from their Shimelt’s. Less than 200 people were there when I looked around. On the last point we didn’t get top players over at great initial expense but rather signed the likes of Fricke, Brennan, Kurtz, Lidsey, Bewley, Blodorn & Cairns and watched them become the lads they are today. In Britain we don’t need to spend but we do need to foster development for those within our commonwealth.
  14. I've got the all on "ignore", it really is a useful tool (unlike them!!).
  15. At this stage why don't we just allow the premiership to race over the weekend? Yes we will loose some top riders but this is a price we might have to pay. The general public don't know who Dan Bewley and Jack Holder are, they just want an enjoyable night out at a reasonable price. If clubs don't have to pay for the top riders then the meeting might be more affordable. Also, the racing is likely to be closer as more clubs can compete at a similar level. We always compare ourselves to ice hockey but they don't spend all their money trying to get players from the NHL over so why should we?
  16. As I said we can read into a result what we want to - it’s what fans do!
  17. Paddy Power, what are the odds on Tai Woffinden making a comeback before the years out?
  18. One forum on the internet is enough. Keep all the whinging muppets in one place, don't spread them out
  19. Well a lot of people are commenting on why the forum is in decline, this past several posts is a point why a lot of people don't interact anymore. And most of it is on the Poole page so it's affects their popularity as well. Why can't these pointless posters stop their fued
  20. £15 to see the same bunch of riders you will see in the same style of meetings you'll see at Iwade and IOW. Nah you're ok thanks. If I want to watch repeats I'll stick to BBC2
