  1. Past hour
  2. Today
  3. I’d never claim Brady to be one of our own in the same way as Dan but we should be looking for more riders to move from 7.50 to 9.50 and become GP challengers as despite popular opinion on here, they put bums on seats.
  4. I was expecting to go down by 20+ Sheffield is a place where a string of 3 4 5 consecutive 1-5 heats can slip by very easily Neither happened so I felt it was decent That 1 extra point could be vital - no need for the super heat next time 😉
  5. Aye you got more than a brief mention on BSN last night as well during the Scunny v Redcar meeting . Something to do with having the same name as someone famous. No mention of any royalties though. 😂
  6. What's happened to Scott he started the season on fire, I know he's had a few knocks recently is he carrying an injury as in my mind early season he wasn't far off the Poole turbo teens.
  7. I was comparing Bewley & Shimelt as I continually get told that we don’t need names as nobody knows any different. Is this the case or not? People who don’t know the difference also wouldn’t feel the difference in speed , which is less than a second a lap.
  8. dry at the track for last couple of hours and no rain forecast for rest of day on weather channel.
  9. Hence why I say I don't know why. It's just a weird feeling I have that he'll do it, because it'll be so incongruous if he did. I'll be pleased for him, even it he isn't good to be in it. At the end of the day it is an oxymoron for anyone who says that the event is stale or that they want change then moan when the true open way in throws up a weird qualifier like Kim Nilsson. Or a decade of Andy Smith :ha:
  10. Dont think his comment was out of order He dont know level of rain put down he was just replying to a comment regarding current weather at time When I got up at 5.30 it was clear bright sky 9am was heavy ish rain If that lasted meeting would have been of as riders wouldn't and shouldn't ride in them conditions
  11. At Mildenhall back in the early days there was access to the pits before the meeting. Children sitting on bikes and photos with the riders .
  12. Was hopping rain would last longer Really need a good race track today Season so far has not been good for different reasons
  13. If you have nowt constructive to say keep quiet. Been dry in worky for the last couple of hours. Stupid comments like this could put of fans attending the meeting.
  14. Been dry in worky for the last hour or so now clearing up, Steve's water will still be required as a brisk wind is blowing
  15. The irony of you calling me a muppet & thick with a post with 2 commas & then a capital letter after them is hilarious, even by your standards.
  16. While I agree with that, Redcar could argue they started with 1 top rider & 3 x 3rd heat leaders, but it obviously hasn't worked out. Besides Scunthorpe will make the play-offs with 1 heat leader, while Workington with a good top 3 will likely finish bottom. Last night, it was the reserves who let Redcar down, but that looks like the strongest part of the team!
  17. Even if it was the floodlights, would make no difference as the red lights and starting mechanisms need to be functional
  18. I'm not sure you can claim Kurtz as 'one of your own'. He had already been riding in the UK for 6 years, with 4 years in the top flight at Poole, topping their GSAs in his final year with them. Yes he has improved while he has been with Belle Vue but that would have happened with age and experience wherever he was riding. His improvement is not much different to Jack Holder who left Poole at the same to join Sheffield. Both have been loyal servants since then, but neither club can claim to have nurtured them to the extent that you may have done with some of the others.
  19. I think your first point of comparing youth and senior racing has already been covered. I actually agree with you on the 2nd point we actually have a good talent pool and we will lose some of them initially. In the long term though young riders will only go to Poland when they are confident they will start. This might not happen until they're 25 as Poland's U21 system (rising star) is ruthless riders are pulled from the team meeting to meeting. The transfer from U21 to senior is also really hard in Poland, only the top riders can do it and they often struggle for multiple seasons (miskowiak). Britain is a much better place to develop from 18-25 than Poland. Therefore Britain can instead build up its own talent pool with only the top few going to Poland.
  20. 10 to the pound more to go around
  21. I overloaded the circuit and it went with a bang
  22. Am sure the fight is their anyone can come to northside and have a good blast.
