Bikes go over the fence nowadays then but not a common event thankfully Did any one see the bike go over fence at Oulton Park couple of weeks back Lot heavier bike and lot higher fence
-
Hope everyone is ok. Regardless of what decision the clowns at the governing body make, someone will rightly feel injustice. Both teams had a fair chance to qualify. My red and white tinted glasses would say Glasgow were more likely to go through though. Speedy recovery to those that are hurt. Hope the H&S people aren’t too severe. Did Edinburgh have a hard time with them after Cook’s bike went over and hit the photographer(that shouldn’t have been there)?

Kedavra replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
At least lublin won't romp the regular league, not that it matters in the long run as Torun will tell you. I wonder what the highest negative point difference is, reckon Czestochowa could be challenging that. -
Arthur54 started following Bears v tiggers

I did notice the other night, Ace Pijper crashed into the fence on the 4th bend, is there a reason why there is no air fence at that part of the track

GP line-up for 2026
ShanoXtra replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Glasgow only recently uprated their air fence to accommodate the FIM they had last year was it? Might even have been this year, I can’t remember. I deffo saw an interview saying they had to pay thousands to update it to comply with regs, Ipswich would be the same. I’ve heard Chris Louis speak on how expensive the FIM uprated air fences are. -
Hopefully, none of the spectators were seriously hurt. It was an awful crash. From what the ref was saying it goes to a ballot. This might change of course with further investigation.

GP line-up for 2026
1 valve replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
For stox the speedway fence is removed - on that basis for a GP would it be possible to lay a temporary track incorporating some of both circuits to provide a larger speedway track closer to the fans? Whats the issue with the air fence? Isn’t it the case that all UK tracks have to comply with FIM regs? -
GP line-up for 2026
ShanoXtra replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The air fence isn’t that’s for sure. I know it’d be a fair few thousand to bring that up to the FIM standard. -
"In no particular order" should be understood to mean any heat advantage, no matter the value. That's 8-7 in favour of Redcar.

This incident will have massive repercussions at a tough time for the sport. More costs incoming...

GP line-up for 2026
Fromafar replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Is the track FIM standard if it is the capacity is enough to hold a GP given the size of some recent venues. -
It's my thoughts only, nothing at all to suggest it will happen. As @SteelShoe says, if it was financially viable and well sponsored it would only add to the fablous product we have at Northside.

Speedway 360 podcast
PersonalResponsibility replied to THE DEAN MACHINE's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Will be giving this a listen. We had Nigel on a podcast we did, funnily enough, and he was a good listen. Proper speedway man. Always enjoy your posts on here, Deano, and I'm sure Robbo is equally good value! -
But that Poole meeting was already scheduled before he agreed to ride at Foxhall so it makes no sense?

Colinspeedway replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I agree Ipswich could host a GP. It's not as cut off as some stadiums in the series and has the capacity and logistics to host one. The only issue is the track. -
Told to by Poole probably.
