  1. Past hour
  2. I feel like this perspective is shared by those running British speedway and in my opinion, it’s the biggest reason British speedway will die (as a competitive sport) in the not too distant future. Far too many people tolerate mediocrity and outright amateurish standards, accusing those (myself included) who demand standards and improvement as ”moaners” and ”negative”. We all want the same thing; British speedway to thrive, but I believe some of use are already anticipating what is coming while others bury their heads in the sand.
  3. I’m pretty sure that Reid won heat 2 last night.George Dodds has that one wrong.
  4. Rolling averages should be set now for May as KO cup matches won’t count. Jeppesen 8.48 Cook 8.35 Batchelor 6.75 Zischke 5.23 Jakobsen 5.00 Foord 3.89 Etherington 2.00 39.70 Max Perry would be 2.29 so would come in at 39.99 if Max came in for Jamie.
  5. Like you triple .h. I’ve been going sins 1947 my family went to all London tracks.Since then ils been Wembley Hackney Oxford Coventry reading and now the foxes.

  7. Read somewhere that the transponders called the result and ref wanted a 2nd opinion, but also read a few times in the past, that the transponders don't always work 🤔 apparently Godfrey organised a supplier for them so that explains a lot 😜
  8. Today
  9. Think most people thought Lambert was 3rd.Surely the Ref doesn’t need Video if they have transponders though.
  10. Ablitt 8.61 Ingram 5.18 Summers 7.11 Etheridge 6.05 Wood 8.00 S Piper 4.32 Whalley 2.00 Total 41.27
  11. Walked the track before the meeting yesterday and it has a new mix of Grano dirt in it, which hasn’t been used before. Used to absorb the moisture in the track and avoid future rain offs. Could see it working yesterday by how dry the track was in the end. The imminent move away from afternoon racing will help massively by keeping the sun off it, as the track gets no shade.
  12. You could do Oxford with relative ease, trains more or less to and from Marylebone, journey approx 80 mins and Paddington journey approx 55 mins. Trains run every 15 minutes give or take a minute or two. Trains to London run till 23:15 - 23:30. Get a 1 or 5 bus from outside the station which will take you to a stop, Longlands Rd which is about a 5 minute walk to the stadium. Buses run every 5-10 minutes. NDL meeting on sunday 26th April Chargers vs Middlesborough 3pm start, weather etc permitting, so you could see how easy the journey is with a lot more leeway for getting back to London.
  13. May have to wait until averages change to do a team shuffle, yea it's a year or 2 early for Jamie, apparently we were 0,02 high on the average to fit Max Perry into the team, but this young kid could be popular for teams wanting to do a change or two
  14. Can't see the witches troubling the aces here, 52-38 to the Aces was tempted to say 56-34
  15. Sorry the refs video call was for HT 6 with Jonas and Lambert
  16. He came out on Jamie Etherington’s bike yeah, which is a shame as he probably had a decent chance of doing something in that race
  17. I was quite impressed with the performance against Scunny although sad to say Jamie Etherington is way off the pace looks like another Sam McGurk scenario. Im sure the promotion will be looking at options to cover Vinnies absence and Jamie.
  18. Apparently niklas was on a borrowed bike for his last ride . Regarding the point for batch/Cooper the ref asked for a video replay and awarded coops the point, myself and many others thought batch had won easily, maybe batch shut off at the last minute to let coops get the point 🤔
  19. Might be wrong but I thought that as Howarth had been warned for moving in heat 4 then again in heat 9 two warnings mean disqualified from heat without option of 15 m so that would be why Hodder was in.
  20. A shame he was the only rider who could be arsed to come round and acknowledge the crowd though... compare that with the BSN meeting at Worky yesterday where it was noticeable that after the majority of races the winner went round to accept the applause of the crowd, both home and away riders... it costs nothing
  21. Kyle is a great team man who has won silverware for every team he's ever ridden for. After his 7 years at Sheffield he still has many friends and admirers and he'll be welcome here anytime.
  22. With the league looking so competitive this year, I'm not sure we can wait till August. Indeed making the playoffs isn't a given. Edinburgh and Berwick are likely to be the only tracks he sees twice.
  23. Same situation arose in Friday night's meeting where Hodder kept his place in heat 14 despite being pointless. While it seems Cami Brown is reluctant to make changes, it was the right call.
  24. I think this should be a home win, but predictions of 60-30 hmm not sure about that, Ipswich are a team that has a solid look about it as they showed against Kings Lynn, our top two are a level above but i think if Witches are on it they can trouble our middle order/reserves. Look to pack the minor placings against Dan and Brady and who knows?
