I’m holding my breath and trying not to comment but I hope Brennan actually starts to ride like he did to help these guys take the trophy. Emil and Doyle looking slow which is concerning.
-
What time do we start slating the track and comparing the types of passes made by riders against belle Vue? Just asking for a friend

Something wrong with Tungate’s bike before the race and didn’t even try to race then -
I read that (right until the bottom line), thinking... "2026? Surely these are what the current regs are?"...

My exact same thoughts!

Until Peter Schroeck brings his tactical nouse to the table -
Assumed it was the chain but it rode back OK. Was bizarre.

If clubs can’t track a full 1–7 without guests or R/R, the sport needs a more sustainable solution with better squad depth or fixture planning.

Plymouth v Redcar - 16th August

The meeting should go ahead but not as a league meeting, Redcar should have been awarded the points, it seems pretty obvious that those that did attend don't really care about the integrity of a sporting league, so I doubt it would effect the crowd much... if at all. -
Surely something went wrong with Edward’s bike, such a random crash

And that's a "negotiated down" contract..... You can see why the UK doesn't hold too much appeal for these lads and, for those it does, you can see why they say "how high" when their Polish paymasters say "jump!"... That contract, at just six points a match (£12k), is worth well over £400k a season... Add a few decent sponsors, and throw in Sweden and Denmark, and not a bad return is it?

Problems with SGP
YeOldPitGate replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm not sure you speak for 36 mil poles anymore than I speak for 65 million britons, I've found the Ukrainians in the UK to be decent people on the whole I'm sure there are 5-10% that are unpleasant the same for virtually all races on planet earth. The fact they are fighting tooth and nail to stop the aggressor speaks volumes, most of the other old Soviet block countries left as soon as they could and have zero desire to return to the Russian boot s, if Russia gets all of Ukraine they will simply use Ukrainians to attack somewhere like Poland or Romania next. And I have no issue with Emil or any other Russians riders being let back into Speedway GP. I would imagine 90% of Russians want this war to end and just have a quite life but that's not happening whilst a hundred odd old men from the KGB are running things. -

It's a catch 22. With riders injured at the last minute would fans prefer a last minute cancellation or for a meeting to go ahead with guests? What about sponsors or hospitality guests? Catering that has been arranged? It is bad enough with rain offs but adding more call offs will soon become problematic. Finding a better system than guests is the only way forward but is a challenge in itself. -
There are very clearly a number of NIMBY falsehoods that the speedway campaign needs to meet head on with real world examples from other existing speedway tracks.

Does that mean a 7 day ban then or is it a”family emergency “ or is he injured? -
We hear this every season about these riders that will be available next season on a”bargain average”.Not many come to fruition though the next season.IMO

Well he’s accompanied by the promoter at virtually all meetings home and away so they must believe in him.
