Is there a bit of a chicken and egg situation? Which comes first the eight teams league or the TV deal? Both seem to rely on each other and is there a danger of being stuck in limbo?

I was a "neutral" watching the Poole v Edinburgh match also (just like you were on Saturday).

Yep I noticed that too, I think hes right in what he says that too many people have done the same things for too long and are entrenched in a 'can't do' mindset rather than thinking that can, and should. The quote about growing the cake rather than just your own slice resonates too.....far too many clubs and owners want the slice of others to be smaller, or don't care. And he's spot on that self governance is an absolute nonsense.

Has anyone seen Godfrey & co since Coleman’s interview on Friday or are they still trying to get up after that knockout?? Coleman clearly knows the issues & with a very successful career in motorsport knows what’s needs to be done. That interview was worlds apart from Godfrey in his caravan.

Well the idea if centrally backed would be to use it for all big meetings Rather a mute point now anyway - bothe the opportunity and the money have gone!!

The frustrating thing is these are not even earth shattering things that are difficult to do. I even liked his comment that if guests are needed, the manager should have a spare set of club fork covers in his car so they seamlessly blend in. Again, really not difficult to do. There just seems to be a “can’t be @rsed” attitude amongst far too many people involved in running clubs in this country unfortunately.

Well he's addressed two of my pet hates in that interview - guesting for your rivals and unmown centre greens. He'll do me. He's essentially identified all the issues that fans have over a period of time but have been ignored about. I think he'll go down well with supporters if not promoters, but this opportunity simply has to be grasped by British speedway.

Surely a typo, he was at Leicester in 2011 and 2017. 2011 would make sense that its chronological order for everyone else.

😂 I actually wish you were correct because it would mean speedway had a degree of loyalty and passion, but I’m afraid I very much doubt it. If Pickering or Masters were paid enough, they’d be in Tigers’ colours next season. A speedway riders’ career is far too short and nowhere near remunerative enough to hold fantasy grudges over rivals of former clubs.
