  1. Past hour
  2. Wasn’t Fricke only let go because his average was so high it didn’t leave much room for the others and would have left them too top heavy…his average is now way lower than it was a year ago so it would be far easier to fit him back in next season
  3. If he does end up there, I'd deffo take Jonatan Grahn at Northside. He's scored 58 points + 8 bp, in just 6 meetings here
  4. If Victor is coming back then that's fine with a 2 point reserve. If not then Joe Thompson with a 2 point reserve would be great as he looked ok for Plymouth at Shielfield. Other option would be Jack Smith ( if fit) along with a new 5 point rider like the Dane PK recommended who was at Shielfield one night. Jack scored a good few points at home this year which helped keep the unbeaten record, maybe more than a new 2 point rider would. Jack and a new 2 pointer would probably score about the same number of points away from home i.e. not a lot. Think these combinations fit with a 40 point limit but no doubt some maths specialist will say I'm wrong.
  5. And some rumours saying Rob is going to open his wallet and he could be off to Scunthorpe.
  6. Could it maybe the other way around ? Just Jen’s comment that announcement they will be making in a few weeks was good for the club and British Speedway
  7. Silly season in full swing. If he’s wanting to learn different tracks etc I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at Edinburgh.
  8. Fricke back to Leicester because Lambert will be a Star?
  9. Today
  10. I do hope so but not hopeful at this point. All I'm told is maybe 2028 to get the sport back. We've moved on with our business plan to bring speedway back at a lower level and then build. I do hope your connections are good but just cant see it unfortunately
  11. Aww boo hoo. Rusty Harrison. What goes around comes around. PS Still not guaranteed that he's off to Glasgow. They've allegedly signed Flint, Harris, Rowe, Dan Thompson, Luke Harrison and Zischke so they must be running 2 teams at Ashfield this year!
  12. Still lots going on behind closed doors, lots of obstacles but nobody is giving up on 2027 yet.
  13. "It's our hobby, not yours"..
  14. Again why do they treat the fans with such contempt? The lack of communication is shocking. The AGM is actually important and newsworthy to supporters. Pretty sure we all look forward to hearing the fallout from the meeting, seeing what the points limits are and the make up of the leagues and rules. We rely on second or even third hand sources for an actual AGM date or “in the knows” on here to leak things, and none of us would have known it had even been postponed if not for Plymouth stating that fact. Why is it all such a closely guarded secret? Would it really hurt them to publish a date for the AGM through the official channels, and update supporters on events like postponements? Not good enough and it hasn’t been for donkeys years.
  15. Knowing theyll always have a strong reserve, I'd go for a 2 pointer & the strongest 3rd heat leader they can find. Jake Allen seems a good idea.
  16. They have been talking for the last few months and the alledgally new polish rules have been around several weeks, all this should have previously discussed, and last season signed off, and any new rules put in place for 2027. It's not rocket science
  17. He said it was postponed but no new date had been arranged, Plymouth have got 19k towards the air fence
  18. On another thread its reported that the Plymouth promoter has said its been postponed. He might need a delay to get a new air fence financed.
  19. I always hoped when the asset system disappeared, it would be easier for Brits to get team places? You could spend a lot of money flying an Aussie over, or spend time & effort sorting out a visa for a European, they can be poor meaning a waste of time or good & leave to go to another club. In theory the likes of Alfie Bowtell, Ben Morley, Danyon Hume (when fit) should get team spots every year? It wasn't that long ago Dan Thompson started without a Champ team.
  20. They will need to discuss the new Polish league rider requirements, the rumoured ‘demand’ for an 8 team Premiership , with a doubt over Sheffield and a possible Eastbourne return . The supposed doing away with the NDL ( 😢 ) and then place what’s left in a championship that can be decided by a referees announcement it seems 🤷‍♂️.
  21. As it’s not for sale so that can’t happen and I understand that the current owners would never ever sell to Mr. Rathbone. The track man has left so you have your wish there , both Terry the Track and Jonathan Swales were in the pits but I don’t see any change in management as Jamie Swales will still have a say in matters but the delay in naming the new co promoter ( my 50p is still on George ) is a little baffling.
  22. "Sign Jason Doyle, Win Titles", seems to be the mantra to follow..
  23. Birmingham had to sign riders knowing they would not be riding a full season, and on made up averages to make them look competitive... Since Sky pulled out its been a constant falling off, with doubling up, and Guestfests, becoming the default mechanic to use... There is so little prestige in winning the top tier, both Oxford and Poole decided to ride in the second division, as it more suited their business model.. A sport where you can choose which level to compete in? An interesting concept!!! Over the past few years, five teams seems to have become the maximum that the UK can adequately ensure all are competitive... And as for winning the title? Bald men fighting over a comb just about sums up the last decade or so... With this season being pretty much on par with the others of recent times...
  24. I'm sure a few years back Redcar put an extra £1 or £2 on the admission to pay for an air fence, then once it was paid off, the entrance fees went down, could this be a possibility to make up any shortfall / pay back a SRBF loan?
  25. This should stop testimonials for the riders though (not benefit meetings). When you are declaring yourself as self employed and the clubs get nothing from you moving to another club, then you should give up your right to a testimonial (surely cannot have it both ways).
