I agree. 6-7 pointers will have good and bad meetings, but i feel Kvech and Cook are better than that. Bomber is also up and down, but gives it his all. Add 3 youngsters in the team who are naturally still learning their trade. Nothing seems to work, however we build our teams.

It was a close affair last night and good to see some Leicester fans making some noise. Shame Ipswich let points slip with King and Lawson falling but that's how it goes sometimes. Kemp was awesome for Leicester, 15 from a 5 point reserve has won them the cup I think. Brennan was woeful yet again, even when he makes good starts he gets beat up around the first couple of bends and given the side Ipswich have, if your 'number one' only gets 4/5 points meeting it's never going to end in success. I hope he can turn it around but we're now coming into August. Moaners on here make me laugh, ooh the track this or that, nothing wrong as far as I can see - last night was a little slicker but that's how speedway has always been in the UK and is what makes it more interesting for me, rather than fastest engine wins on a billiard table.

Jonathan Swales ( brother of the promoter ) , fell out with the owners ( the brothers ) , like a lot of people have. Current ‘track man’ is an inexperienced volunteer, who only falls outwith them occasionally. He has 2 ‘assistants’ and a ‘mentor’ , but he’s better than nothing!

But he's not withholding his services, the situation has arisen because Poole promotion have CHOSEN to arrange/rearrange matches when they know Lawson may well be unavailable (because his danish club has pre-arranged fixtures on those days). If Poole stick to the original fixtures and avoid clashes with the other club's, the Pirates have priority on Richards services. Of course it would be great if our club could have exclusive rights to a riders services, but that simply isn't practical/possible in the current UK speedway set up. Where a top Championship rider needs to ride in a number of leagues in order to make it a viable proposition.

King's Lynn aren't going to achieve anything until drastic changes occur. Jan Kvech hasn't improved at all since stepping foot on British soil. Ben Cook is the biggest throttle jockey the Sport has seen in recent years to a point where he's only consistent around tracks that don't require much skill (NSS and Polish tracks)

And sadly that shows the quality of the product compared to years gone by, Leicester have a solid side but not one rider in it who's in the top 20-30 riders in the world. This is another one of the sports huge problems chipping away at the quality of the product year on year but also upping the cost every season. It certainly hasn't helped Sheffields cause having no Tai and losing Jack Holder this year. Same with Ippo no Doyle and Emil, the flip side though is even if you bring in a big hitter crowds might go up for 3-4 meetings then level off again, then you have Belle Vue two awesome riders on show most weeks but crowds down also lord knows how it can be turned around if it even can.

Paul Hurry thinks he's back to his best. I refuse to criticise Tom because I'm fully aware of the situation he's been put in, Really not nice to see him struggle almost every week this season. I'll 100% stick by the young lad even if he scores 0 tbh.

Hardly an achievement in a 6 Team League that features King's Lynn and Northampton. Was never winning the Cup before a wheel was turned because Leicester are head and shoulders above Ipswich hence why I called out Paul Hurry's excuses about Stewart Dickson in our previous Home meeting against the Lions. Leicester are the 2nd best team in the League imo and the only thing stopping them from doing the Double is their track record at the NSS imo.

Again, your expectation for this season is extremely high and unrealistic, I bet on paper you wouldn't have thought you'd get to a league cup final but now they are there (and they've not lost it yet) you bring out the doom and gloom. I think with the support Ipswich get even if 2 years time if you dropped into the championship you'd get good crowds Like others have said, this is one season everyone knew would be a struggle even supporters of other clubs, you seem to be the only one that is comparing previous seasons

The club a rider signs for first gets priority in my opinion,not a club in Poland Denmark or Timbuktu after, We all want whats best for a rider but you cant have clubs saying hes ours now he rides when we tell him.. But i quess theres soo many loopholes its hard to say who he signed for first...do you go by,, hes rode for us for 5 yrs or at the beginning of each season?maybe why riders say in May June they are pleased to say they have signed for another season in Poland? I think Pickering signed for us as he wasnt in a team abroad but got picked as he looked a promise,Scunny should get priority unless its a rearranged match but of his team decides they are racing on friday and he goes abroad he should be banned here for a week...but Poland would ban him for the season if he didnt go

Doyle and Fricke aren't yet replaced. Excluding Holder, who will continue to slip down the order, Fricke is currently 7th in standings, and two points off 5th place. Doyley faces a tougher situation being 12 points off 7th place. With 4 GP's to go quite a bit can change below the top 3/4 who have a buffer over the rest. Who has been replaced at this stage, and will remain replaced, is Parnitski and Kubera. I take your earlier point about the Aussie Quals being tricky, it must be a right pain in the proverbial for the better riders to have to come back here, bring motors/bikes for a one week ordeal involving 4 meetings spread over thousands of miles. Great for fans but very tough on riders and no doubt an expensive exercise, and at the present stage, there are 10 Aussies good enough on our tracks to be viable chances for one of the too few 3 or 4 allocations. As a number of us have commented on in this thread, the qualifying system has a number of flaws in it and does not assure that we wind up with the best 15/16 riders in the world. Its more of a junket for 2nd and 3rd tier riders than a serious attempt to discern the genuine top echelon of riders. There are more intelligent options, some of which have been bounced around in this thread, but unfortunately, intelligence doesn't seem to be a feature in the decisions of FIM and organizational levels of speedway.

No, i meant no one forced him to sign for a Danish club. Also Lawson has another job outside speedway as well. I doubt he is hard up for cash but that is just my opinion on past interviews. End of the day he should be banned as he is 'withholding his services.'
