As a lifelong Brummmies fan, I got so disillusioned with the sport that I walked away from it mid season 2024 and havenāt been to a meeting since. there are many similarities with the start Northampton have had to this season , joining the league at the last moment and all the ensuing problems that brings, with the last few seasons at Birmingham. I have thus learned not to have any great hopes or expectations of the upcoming season . I got used to under strength teams snd often, deeply frustrating snd disappointing team performances. I am going to give Northampton a go as they are anew team and thus, I do not have to support any team that I have been āagainstā, for year after year . all I ask of my new team this season is that all riders and management give it 100% at all times and adopt a positive attitude to a difficult season with a view to being able to start next season on a more even playing field with the other teams where team building is concerned. Can I wish everyone connected with Northampton an injury free season and, one with as few problems both on and off the track as possible. To me, a success season will be one where it hasnāt been embarrassing to admit to being a Northampton fan and more importantly, one where the club grows snd there is not in any doubt about them running again next season

Along with learning UK tracks ,the lad is adjusting to also being over here on his own at a young age. Considering 1st race was Armadale, second was a wet Ashfield and third an extremely slick gate and go Shieldield he has still managed to score points, but time will tell if he can add to those points each meeting as he settles both on and off track.

Slovenian riders give me PTSD since Matic Ivacic, but this boy canāt be any worse. -
Starke's average is too high. Ben Trigger would fit! However would be very harsh on Spencer to get replaced so early in the season.

Might be the new Micky Dyer? Remember when he rode for Redcar in 2013,was fantastic, then disappeared!!

Said this a few weeks ago and unfortunately, we found ourselves on the end of it tonight. What a talent. -
You win some, you lose some. Well done to the Bandits who were deserved winners. Iām a bit lost for words for Battye. Thatās the best debut Iāve ever seen. That assertiveness to shut the door on Howarth in heat four was of established heat leader calibre; not a young man making his debut. Bitterly disappointing from Hagon and Hausl. Hodderās 3+1 exceeds whatās expected of him, IMO, and holding off Morris in heat four was a point we had no right accounting for. Harris has more than earned ann off day, but the other three desperately need to contribute. Patience is key, but after three meetings, alarm bells are ringing for Hausl. Of course, I hope he comes good, but heās so far off it; spectacularly poor, heat one aside. My heart says heāll come good, but my head says heāll be gone by mid-May.

I bet you were well pleased with that result. I think at Lynn whilst I thought Ben Cook was excellent our 6 point lead after the first 2 heats was the killer and Lynn's inconsistency meant they couldn't land a blow on us after that. I think Leicester like Ipswich have that really solid look about them.

Well that was a good season opener for us, not much passing but plenty exciting races, what a home debut by Reid outstanding,Mario in heat one for 99.9 % of the race, and a good night for Leon, not so much for Bomber,I thought in heat 13 Peter and Nick forgot they in the same team for the first couple of laps š onwards and upwards hopefully, mention also the great support the Tigers always bring to Berwick -

Bad day at the office for Bomber happens to the best of them. There ware others that we should be more concerned about, but Bomber will bounce back. -
It makes you come across as bitter and jealous. No doubt the Monarchs have paid all their top riders over the years with magic beans š
