Singling out Brady for not passing riders at Foxhall is a bit rich when every other rider in the UK is pretty much the same. -

I've never understood the view that there aren't sufficient riders around to run a 14-team league without doubling up. It may come as a surprise to learn that the list of registered riders on the BSL website runs to 249 names. What's more, I reckon the promise of 40+ guaranteed matches per season without the need for expensive international travel - albeit in a slightly less competitive league - will be more than attractive to the vast majority of riders. For the rest we're probably better off without them. This isn't a wind-up. The Bates announcement on Monday has to indicate the inevitable probability that, without radical change in 2027, we are certain to lose our sport forever. We paying customers have a choice: we either sit back and watch it happen, or we take action NOW to prevent another catastrophic year of indecision which will ultimately end in the inevitable. If you're one of the "sit back and do nowt" brigade, thanks for your input and goodbye. Then it's even worse as the likes of Edwards and Joe Thompson coming out of there won't get a spot next year. Also fear for Dan Thompson who's improving in the UK with every lap, luckily his rolling is <7 still but his actual this year is over 8 (today's Star). Similar with Kemp -

100%, but the apathy is created by the feeling of the sport just going through the motions, with no clear objective nor major rewards... The apathy, for me, started to increase towards the end of Sky's tenure and has increased at an ever evolving pace since.. -
wow that crazy.

They do that at Ipswich because it’s a pain getting out afterwards, one of the biggest reasons despite that track only being 50-60 min drive for me, is why I haven’t gone since Arena packed up. And I get your point about riders riding for so many clubs it doesn’t matter to them but for some fans, they only see or are interested in what they do when they are wearing the body colours of their team, if some fans leave early then that’s up to them, they paid to get in. It amounts to apathy on both sides of the fence, and that is not good long term for anyone, riders or fans. -
Or the time he rode for them before, we all remember emailgate when he was given the boot

Commend your passion and enthusiasm... But completely unworkable... Teams cannot afford to pay riders for "exclusivity", hence DU'ing is the glue that is holding UK Speedway together... Maybe an "Elite League" of eight, five rider teams, could be something to sell to TV and engage the punters?.. DU'ing would still be needed though...

No skin in the game for me, however... I have seen Dan ride three times at Foxhall, and, from memory, eight points off five rides is the best I have seen him score, with a fair few thirds and lasts.. And none of his defeats included any "hunting down" of the rider in front or just "faiing to pass on the line" from what I remember... - Today

See you take every comment so subjective it’s laughable Bewley will give 110% in every meeting Kurtz won’t …. Didn’t call him a slacker … he is the best gater in the world and when he makes starts at Foxhall he wont be caught …. My point is if he misses the start or has a GP at the weekend he wont bust a gut and I stand by that… if he leads he wins if he doesn’t he isnt bothered and I actually don’t blame him if he has a world title to go for 2 days after riding at Foxhall Kurtz may well have outscored Bewley at our place it’s irrelevant in what I’m saying -

Is he starting his main job earlier so gets away as early as he can?.. Remember. This is a sport (in the UK), where riders can lose their jobs each season, (sometimes even during the season), for doing their job "too well"... Therefore, I am not sure fans should expect, (or be surprised), if riders don't show any major emotional attachment to any of their (sometimes many), teams.. Nor fans be bothered if riders don't get too attached to team mates, who tomorrow may be a rival, and then the night after a team mate again, or again a rival, if either, (or even both), get guest bookings.. Personally I clear off as soon as the first rider completes Ht15 to try and get home as quick as I can, and many, many others do the same, (I would say the majority of fans there do it).... I wonder if the riders complain that we should all stay until they have gone around on the tractor?... -
Been said multiple times that Kerr isn't interested in signing in prem. He only prepared to guest. Also he didn't have a great experience at Sheffield last season?

semi pro footballers have jobs outside, they don’t go home early, even as a sub they will come on the pitch afterwards and claps the fans for there support. Richard never done that at Lakeside, he was a legend for us, always had time for the fans, what has changed? -

It's currently 37 points (technically 40, but Rising Stars can be higher than 3.00 while still at #7 for team building, i.e. Edwards at the start of this season, and continuing. -

Gavan, you go on about Dan’s (trier) & Brady’s (slacker) performance around Foxhall. Could you do me a favour and look back over the last ten meetings at Foxhall involving both riders and let me know how many times Dan was the better of the two? If they have an unequal amount of rides just work out their average for that meeting to arrive at the better performer. We can then hopefully draw a line under this matter. Many thanks. -

You've hit the nail on the head. Speedway has bred a generation of avaricious riders who want to have their cake and eat it: they want to earn their bread and butter in the UK leagues and chase the Polish Zloty to put the jam on top. This faces the British authorities with the dilemma of having to dance to the Polish tune when trying to plan the home fixture list. This cannot go on. It's robbing British speedway of all its precious resources. We, the paying public, have to demand radical change in 2027 or we'll lose our sport forever. There is a demand for action that we the supporters have to make clear to the powers that be. Sign the petition NOW: https://c.org/bdpftrNZdQ
