  1. Past hour
  2. Indeed, Jacob Hook scored 13 for Workington at reserve then 0 guesting for Glasgow at 2 the very next week last month.
  3. Well take 3 for this meeting on Sunday, but unfortunately looking at the weather predictions a named storm could be due on Sunday 😗 so another call off more than possible. unfortunately, all this nice summer weather with fixture gaps, now the last meeting, looks like it does not want to take place
  4. Based on one off the cuff comment by Doyle on Monday evening. Pretty sure thats not exactly what he meant.
  5. Today
  6. This forecast for tomorrow looks OK. https://www.xcweather.co.uk/forecast/Ip4_5ll
  7. How many belle vue tee shirts, scarfs and hoodies etc did the belle vue track shop sell Monday night or any race night for that matter ? Something I witnessed last week at zielona gora and gorzow was just how many fans brought the merch from the club stores, there were que’s out the doors, team shirts and scarfs were sold in huge quantities generating substantial income for the clubs and it seemed no matter what you wanted they had it with their logo on it
  8. Talk of Ipswich making the track rough, hope it doesn't turn into a farce where riders struggling to turn. Maybe hoping it could affect some Ipswich riders.
  9. Squads are cut to 2 riders and a reserve in each team next week.
  10. And this was the forecast rain radar at 12:00 yesterday when the decision was made
  11. Just hope Brady and Dan get through it unscathed. As professionals they’ll definitely give their all on the night but they’ve been there done it with this competition. Let another dog have its day . Just get to Saturday’s massive meeting safe.
  12. Doesn’t weaken them at all, Klindt is just as good as Thompson, Wood is better than Perry at Armadale, only one you could claim is Lambert for Nagel but then again he’s never been to Armadale and Lambert scored a barrel load on his last appearance.
  13. I don't disagree with you in the main. I was quite happy to pay my £29 in the seats to see the current world number 2 and 3, and another SGP rider and another most people seem to think should be an SGP rider. For me, heat 15 was worth the entry fee. At other tracks the amount I would pay might be less. I pay less to watch speedway than I do, for example, rugby - but British speedway could do so much more to attract more support and to improve the value of the event.
  14. I don’t disagree with your comments but the financial stakes seem to be much bigger these days and with Poland seemingly calling the tune it is a big financial risk for riders. In all fairness who would blame Brady for not taking too many risks given the biggest prize of his career possibly up for grabs. As much as I like Bartosz I would like to see Brady take the honours this year as the guy deserves it.
  15. To be fair generally the effort levels of the riders does seem to go up a notch during the play offs in the UK, whether that's perceived by the fans (me) or is actually the case I don't know, but I'd like to think it is the former. As for some clubs increasing the admission prices, I know King's Lynn have done it in the past but most clubs don't... I don't call them the pay offs for no reason though.
  16. Another issue is, it is now the business end of the season in Poland and the GPs so no rider is going to possibly jeopardise either becoming potential world champion or risk not winning the league or retaining a place in the upper league in Poland. They pay the riders top dollar and can make demands on them to protect the Polish product and t v rights with t v companies seemingly contributing handsomely to the coffers of Polish speedway across the board. Not sure what the answer is but UK speedway is not in a position to exploit an event to the detriment of the punters attending who are at odds with what is on offer and now pick and choose the meetings they attend because the product has become tired and in some cases boring. Those who want to exploit the punter are not looking at the bigger picture and are possibly driving the sport into oblivion.
  17. Pity you hadn't bothered to check Lambert's performance at the Dale a month ago (14 + 1 from 6) before making your facile comment.
  18. 3 guests for Glasgow which weakens them considerably so it could be an Edinburgh win. stv national news sport segment has a preview tomorrow night which is fantastic coverage for the sport.
  19. Lambert is so out of form as a reserve at scunny yet he’s at 2 in Glasgow side. Cannot believe it.
  20. Presumably because their combined age is 75 and they're not better than the top 3. I also think Dan Thompson can count himself unlucky, I'd have had him instead of Ellis personally.
  21. I’m sure he will be ,but as I am in Tenerife I don’t really give a toss.
  22. Just put some dirt on the track. He won’t be interested until it slickens off just like Berwick last weekend.
  23. Klindt scored 17 on his last visit. Let’s hope that history doesn’t repeat itself. We need 12+ point win to even have a sniff. As such I think this will likely be our last home fixture of the season.
