  2. I think you are right about the R/R & guest scenario with home and away meetings. If Dan is going to be out for any more than a month, I wonder if Dickson has thought about bringing in Sedgmen as a short term replacement? I think has away scores might be a concern though.
  3. Too injury prone and another liability, no thanks.
  4. seems to always happen when a rider gets more confident, and winning more races. hope he can keep improving when he comes back..
  5. Will Bewley and Lambert be riding? Will they be able to get to Torun for the 16th August Polish league match?
  6. Today
  7. They get decent signing on fees though. He wouldn’t want to have to pay that back if he was to miss meetings.
  8. Yes I hope so, his high score was against Scunthorpe although he did beat Pickering once. Hopefully Lawson will help him improve.
  9. Poland can't be paying Drew's bills, Godfrey should get him signed up in time for Berwick away.
  10. Thats going to be a massive loss with Dan Thompson sidelined with a collarbone break. His present form is great so he'll be badly missed home and away
  11. Does anyone else think it's crazy that Northampton are not being granted a full facility for the missing NKI...? It's not their fault that he's injured and it's not their fault that he's being advised not to fly because of his injury... Surely this is a perfect example of where the infamous "In the best interests of the Sport" rule should be applied... We have a new track starting from scratch, trying to attract and retain new fans... but in a sport that prides itself on having No Brakes...they are being asked to operate with an artificial hand brake applied... Seems ridiculous!!!!
  12. Whilst I understand the points you make they are not actually correct. The concept of arriving at a final was to provide a winner takes all climatic last race rather than trip up “the favourites”. Consequently, as you say today’s system means those riders not making finals face a mountain to climb. Which of course is what happens with the leading (minority) riders more often than not making the finals, leaving the majority to scrabble up the mountain.

  14. Hopefully will improve even more being partnered with Lawson at 1 and 2. As I put on the Poole 2026 thread, Fraser started the season quite well with 5+1, 6+1 and 8+1 in his first 3 meetings!!
  15. I always laugh on threads where 2 point reserves get blamed for defeats when they don't score... That's TWO points dropped... One more point each from the top three, who make up the biggest portion of the team average, would more than cover that... Yet, No's 1, 3, and 5 scoring a collective 25 or so isnt called out the same... HL's are paid to win races, meaning a minimum drawn heat, two point reserves are paid to beat their opposite number the two times they meet.
  16. Unfortunate for Leicester as Dan has been riding well so far in 2026. If they do t have many meetings in the next 4 weeks then imagine R/R and home and for away meetings see who is available guest wise if management think R/R not the right choice away from home
  17. Also lets not forget Bowes got injured in the winter, keeping him out of the Aussie Championships. He has actually scored well in his first few meetings (5+1, 6+1, 8+1) but then only managed 3, 2+1 and 0 in his next 3 which included falls and mechanicals! His average has gone from 5.63 t0 5.42, whereas Kyle Newman has gone from 4.82 to 4.98. With Cooper Rushen getting a 'full' average in a week or so, I guess Kyle will be dropping to reserve!!
  18. Can see Drew Kemp back at Scunny as one of the changes, had limited bike time for Daugavpils in Poland so far this season and would be an upgrade on what they have now.
  19. batch rode better than i thought he `would at bellevue
  20. Well it seems that somethings not quite right for him at the moment. So if he's physically fit, bikes ok, then confidence seems highly likely. Confidence is what let's riders go at 100% after all.
