  2. I dont condone what jye did. He should let have done it. But let's not go there with the minor angle. Play with the big boys. You get dealt with like a big boy.
  3. It's a bit like playing russian roulette. It might be ok, it might not. In the current state of finances being cautious seems the right approach as long as the Friday night hotels could be cancelled free of charge.
  4. Considering Poole were up North at Berwick the next night I would agree.
  5. Thank you , Mr Shovlar. Well, rushings from gate 1 was unable to hold his line into turn 1 , in order to avoid his team mate in the white helmet colour, chose to change directiom and take a very wide line out of turn 2. So from gate 1 he ended up on the extreme outside of bend 2. the yellow helmet rider was left with no where to go after rushings sudden change of line out of turn 2. Was it deliberate - I don't think so - but in the first running of the heat he allegedly kicked out at etheridge ? He needs to keep his right leg on the footrest - not showboat around the track like a rodeo star. Something for his coach to tell him. The only other possible decision the ref could have made was "all 4 back" but after rushings effort in the first running , guess the ref had seen enough ... and Poole were the away side. The handbags afters - ha ha . Rushings is in with the big boys now ... not in schoolboy racing. If he dishes it out he can expect it coming back to him. He stuffed Luke Harrison earlier in the season ... word gets around in this sport. Refs are clearly watching out for the tasselled cowboy ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ Any news of whether Lawson will be suspended for withholding his services last Wednesday in Denmark - and was a guest facility actually allowed for a rider who missed the meeting for "illness" ?????

  7. IainB, British Speedway needs our youngsters to gain experience from the best in the world and I for one have no problem with them wanting to do just this. We need more backup to Bewley and Lambert and riding just in our domestic league isnโ€™t enough. Tom Brennan and Dan Thompson are getting there but it takes time and effort and I fully support any British rider wanting to go down this route.
  8. I thought poole were going to win the treble this year. I expected Bowes/Newman maybe out the door soon.
  9. Of course! So he didn't miss a meeting over here because of it? If he wants to waste his time travelling over to Poland for no rides that's his lookout I suppose ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  10. I don't watch BSN so didn't see the original running, but that exclusion was a complete non-event. Rushen moves slightly wider to avoid his teammate, he doesn't even run Etheridge to the fence. Can you imagine Etheridge in an Ekstraliga first turn? I know he wouldn't be within 50ft of any other rider, but if he thinks that's hard riding...!
  11. Should imagine the rule makers will be summoning Etheridge to explain himself. Throwing a punch at a minor carries a severe penalty.
  12. It was announced as 66 seconds which was around 10 seconds slower than conventional heats that day but nearer to the times clocked at Monmore back in 1973.
  13. I wasn't being picky mate, just thought you would want to know bearing in mind the circumstances .๐Ÿ‘
  14. Nicholls is having a great season. So too is Kye. It was a good meeting and it's amazing what they have done down there at Plymouth. The promotion have really pushed speedway and created something to boast about. From tiny acorns etc.
  15. Good hard riding from young Cooper, Jye just couldn't find the outside gap he wanted. Throwing punches at a rider who was on his bike was disgraceful although it was a rubbish punch.
  16. If you show the first running of this heat you can see cooper clearly kicks his leg out to stop jye getting over him into the corner, before riding into the side of him and crashing the ref asked to see it a couple of time and maybe gave coopet the benefit of doubt in that one and maybe thought about that when making the decision about the rerun
  17. The thing about last Friday's fixture is that the flash storm was expected to start at 3pm and finish at 7pm. In reality there was only a 15 minute downpour at 3pm and then it was nice again. Cancelling the meeting was a bit too impulsive imo.
  18. I remember Berwick v Poole at Berrington Lough where Pooleโ€™s John Gouldโ€™s bike cleared the safety fence and narrowly missed the fans standing there!
  19. Fromafar

    Motogp

Followed by Epic finish in Moto2 race.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  20. Sam Masters rode one during interval at his testimonial and think was only about 3 or 4 secs slower over the 4 laps.He said it was great fun.
  21. Memories of 1989 the last time Poole let Berwick win ,Thanks๐Ÿ‘
  22. So Craig Cook can ride in a memorial meeting but not for his team!
  23. Well done Berwick, great team performance. I thought it was nice of Poole to let Berwick win!!
