  1. Past hour
  2. MPT is a major disappointment for Monarchs so far.Must have been expecting more from him.
  3. Ipswich have been to Belle Vue 3 times this season (so far). Only 1 Ipswich rider has beat Dan Bewley in those 3 meetings. Would think Ipswich would win but as you say nothing guaranteed (2 seasons ago Ipswich beat Belle Vue when they weren't favoured to do so in the playoffs).
  4. Home win, with the home team getting a 5 1 in heat 15 to steal victory 46 44

  6. Add in a rider who doesn't want to ride in home meetings also.
  7. He’s ill. Missed Kings Lynn on Thursday through sickness so cannot ride tonight.

  9. I get the context, my point is a sport, that wants to see itself as being taken seriously by the wider sporting public, should not be allowing teams to race for league points when there's only 2 of it's regular members riding. The fact that the rules allow this is why Speedway in the UK is in the state it is. Compare Speedway to a professional sport where their ruling body did step in: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/articles/cjeyz09313do
  10. Simply because things do happen. At Foxhall recently I could have easily seen the Aces get a 5-1 in Ht13 rather than the other way around. Thompson showed he can register a poor score as can others and I think Aces can beat Ipswich at their place and bring a few points in hand. I'd have put £20 on the Witches reserves outscoring the Aces reserves but they didn't. Speedway can be unpredictable - I though Redcar would muller Plymouth on Saturday but far from it, they nearly lost!
  11. Someone needs to do a bit of investigation digging here and find out who had those leaflets printed and distributed and made sure it hit the local papers, because this has all the hallmarks of a inside hit job
  12. quite looking forward to this, should be a good close competitive match said absolutely no one
  13. same convo happened last year after getting hammered on aggregate against the challenging teams, same happened in 2022 when we won the play offs in 2021 when Peterborough won, we beat them 4 times out of 4 in league, then play offs they beat us so while yes, i think this is the year that we probably wont change our fortunes, you cant write us off just yet, play offs are a different animal
  14. Why? Appreciate we all have opinions, just interested in your reasoning for this. Belle Vue are simply not as good and by a margin. Of course it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that they’d win over two legs, but it will be an upset and against all logical reasoning if they did so with two full strength teams. If Ipswich lose to Belle Vue in the semi final and we are at full strength, then we’ve choked IMO and failed badly as a team.
  15. I think this will be tight... I'm amazed at Becker's recovery, but like others have said, this meeting might be too soon for him to score the points that R/R has been getting in his absence.
  16. And the prize for 'How to contradict oneself in the same post', goes to... The rules at the end of the day are what they are, do most people agree with them, not really. But the reality is, Plymouth saw two riders injured less than 24 hours before staging this meeting. They also had two others injured from 7 days prior. At this point in the season to suggest they could sign replacements is a bit of a joke (as much of a joke as the guest system but hey ho). Context is everything.
  17. Well nearly end of the season for the Brummies, need to get an away win, just this one and Leicester left , probably stream this one. Got this daft idea of of going to the Leicester fixture, more likely get a win there, it being a gaters track (Yes I know I laughed out loud as well). But first we have to deal with the Aces on home shale, our no 1 (honest) will have to have his gating gloves on, a quicker bike and stop riding like a prat. Rew should get a few, Lambert (simon) rides well at this track, Hagon has had a few rides in various meeting at BV so expecting a good show from him. Paco always gives 100%. Zager always a happy hunting ground and former Bv no 1, he should be our ace in the pack. R/R for Jeppeson a bit of a blessing. We are certain to get double figues as there are 15 heats, but how many after that is anybodies guest, plus 30 and I`ll be dancing around the room. Come on the Brummies
  18. Everything I said was true, you just don’t like it because your team were the ones that pinched it. Just admit you took advantage of another teams terrible misfortune and got away with one that you didn’t deserve 🙄
  19. Bastian Pedersen is the Wildcard for the final round in Vojens. Reserves are 17 Nagel 18 Heiselberg
  20. He's actually seventh [of seven] in 2025 averages for all official fixtures http://www.gbspeedway.com/2025/teamstats.php?mc1=f&mc2=ta&mc3=av&mc4=Oxford Cheetahs&team=Oxford Cheetahs&league=B&comp=All&avtype=av&reload=Y#mobile_stats
  21. https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/25393543.local-fight-starts-swindon-speedway-stadium-plans/ The sound of an aircraft landing that can be heard 10 miles away. It sounds awful!! Who wrote the leaflet? Clark Osborne?
  22. Didn't someone get in trouble recently for using that system?
