  2. They could bring him along to the Northampton Speedway grand opening to meet his speedway Bartosz namesake... I reckon a 7 May opening night, and plenty of time to fit 10 home league matches in. If it all happens, I'll be aiming to be at opening night as long as I haven't got any other commitment.

  4. He didn’t make much impact at Leicester City a few years ago
  5. Yes i gather Northampton Town are hopeful of signing Bartosz Kapustka
  6. Yes they do, I’m not saying I like it but you have to cater for want the public want and things like Bracknell like him or hate him get views and generate interest
  7. Got my tickets for the South stand as prefer to be on the straight and won't pay the grandstand prices. However, I thought the East stand prices weren't bad. You can't get most Premier League tickets for these prices. Next week is the Cheltenham Festival (4 days). A comparable ticket to the South stand is £90 per day and over £100 on the Friday. Their hotel prices are way over £300 per night. They get an average of about 50,000 a day. Yes, it's different! We all love speedway and to see the best in the world take each other on at the NSS is worth it to me for 2 nights. It's expensive, but in line. Wroclaw is brilliant also, signs are all around the town and it's great, but it's great cos they have a great track also. Lots love Prague (not been to the SGP) and I like the city, but the track is in general average (not always). I go for good racing and need to go to Torun which if prepped right is also excellent. I suppose we can all put a value on any trip, but one things for sure like everything in the UK. Prices will only go up. Most of us have a bit of disposable income and we all have decisions to make on how we spend it. 👍
  8. It proved a point in that I watched it once - now everytime i see him I flick off the video and don't watch it cos i think he is a grade A weapon - it worked once never to work again with me. Your right in that the public now (largely) have the attention span of a goldfish and value style over substance.
  9. The "Press" part can be done for cameras, etc, (the clue is in the name) anytime the team is assembled, and race-suits are ready. The "practice" part could allow the remaining five plenty of track-time as PK and Nick are "practising" at Glasgow.
  10. Agree totally. The sport faced a tough winter, and to come out of it with a 6-team league (as we've had in the past) is something of a miracle. Let's hope we can add Coventry and others for 2027 and really start moving forward. I'm hearing TV deals and corporate sponsor deals are making progress. Maybe if we had a bit more positivity from "fans" getting out there and spreading the message, who knows? Hopefully we'll see fixtures at weekend. Then we just need the news that Northampton have signed Bartosz...
  11. I think the P&P will be changed now. You can’t have it without two of your top riders
  12. It is a Forum, personally I think some of the comments regarding the BSPA are justifiably on what we have seen developing this closed season.
  13. Welcome to the forum, whatever happens the BSPA is getting it in the neck.
  14. Period ? For a minute there I thought you were talking like a yank
  15. Northampton could quite easily kick off on the late bank holiday Monday and have more than enough time to fit in 10 league fixtures and 1 KO Cup before the cut off. If a late start means we get the same amount of teams as some previous seasons, then I’m all for it.
  16. The Dukes had a team in the NJL a few seasons back but the interest died out.

  18. Would normally be a minor annoyance but the Ben fund is a worthy cause.
  19. What are the Team GB's home fixtures this year?
  20. Now there's two name to conjure with. I met Kevin with his now more famous son at a NSSC meeting not so long along. A humble and kindly fellow who I had a lot of time for back in the day. But Andy Hackett. I remember him riding at Brandon after the second halves, right through to his senior team days. Whatever happened to him?
  21. Pardon the pun but are the new owners ' sweeping a broom' through the place? I seem to remember in 1989 the late great John Earrey replacing Rob Chandler on the mic and various other personnel changes from the Shears era. In summary we all have to accept that UK Speedway has a terminal diagnosis and it's patients are in denial!
